I will never order from this location again, ever! For starters, I placed my order around 6 PM on 10/02. We did not receive our order in hand until after 8 PM. When I tell you how upsetting it is to place an order for pick up then wait two hours for your food despite the wait time initially stating thirty minutes. I watched as numerous people left after hearing there was an 80 minute wait time, I watched as numerous orders were left on a table waiting for someone to come in to get them BECAUSE NO ONE CAME OUT TO THE CARS FOR PICK UP (defeats the entire purpose), I watched as staff rolled their eyes looking at the long lines, I watched as the manager, well their attire looked different from the staff so I suppose it was the manager watched from the back and NEVER APOLOGIZED TO ANYONE especially those in the long line waiting for their PICK UP ORDER which was never given to them at their car door. What is most upsetting is how no one apologized! No one, absolutely no one! Instead of taking orders knowing you are busy, you should have removed this option for pick up. Poor management altogether and this shows based on everything I observed in the two hours I sat and waited for my order which was initially incomplete. Ya forgot my rice and tea which the young gentlemen (who deserves a raise well to be honest, everyone does except the manager) gracefully asked what I was hear for and immediately problem solved. NEVER AGAIN will I waste my time. By the time I received my food, I was angry and not even hungry. I got home and had to MICROWAVE my food which should have been hot but it was cold and the ice cream melted. Family night, more like a horrible experience! Also, what is the point of having a telephone if no one answers it or they answer after being on the phone for ten minutes only to hang up or not say anything for one minute then place you on hold. I regress! Maybe just the young gentlemen taking pick up orders and the young lady serving in the front needs a raise. This was not the experience I had at a LongHorn Steakhouse two months ago in a different state but now I associate this bad experience with everyone LongHorn Steakhouse and you will not get my services anymore or anyone else's. The least you could have done as a manager is apologize and that would have gone a long way but you did not therefore, I refuse to come back. Do better! Your staff is not the problem you are and you should have problem solved more effectively than what you did. Hold your self accountable and maybe talk with your team about how you appreciate the work they do because they deserve to be commended based on what I...
Read moreWe visited LongHorn Today August 18 2025 for a very special occasion—my great-grandfather’s 95th birthday. Unfortunately, the service we received did not reflect the care and respect that such a milestone deserves. I want to share our full experience so management can understand the gaps.
Distracted service from the start When our waitress began taking our order, she was simultaneously engaging with other tables, which caused her to forget part of our order and circle back. Mistakes happen, but her lack of focus gave the impression that our table was not a priority.
Attitude and lack of professionalism Several times, when asked simple questions (such as whether she coordinated with the other server about splitting our table), she responded with sarcasm or deflection. For example, when I asked about a birthday cake for my grandfather, instead of answering directly, she said, “I’ve got five tables, I can’t do that, it’s between him.” This was unnecessary and unprofessional. Guests should never feel like they are a burden for making a straightforward request.
Poor communication and coordination Because our table was split, we expected the two servers to coordinate checks and details. Instead, we had to sort it out ourselves by approaching the other server directly. Basic teamwork and communication between staff would have prevented confusion.
Lack of attention compared to other tables Throughout the meal, our waitress rarely checked on us. Meanwhile, we observed her giving far more attention and warmth to other tables. At one point, after we sang “Happy Birthday” ourselves for my grandfather, she later brought cake and celebration to another table for their birthday—but never acknowledged his. Considering we told her multiple times that we were celebrating his 95th, this felt dismissive and frankly petty.
🎯 Why this matters
I understand servers can be busy. But being busy does not excuse poor attitude, sarcasm, or unequal treatment of guests. Hospitality is about making every table feel valued, especially on a once-in-a-lifetime milestone like a 95th birthday. Our family left feeling disrespected and overlooked, which should never happen in a place known for “great service.
⭐ I hope management takes this seriously. We want to see LongHorn continue to thrive, but this experience fell far short of what is expected. Respect, professionalism, and communication go a long way—and those were missing...
Read moreWe were told the wait time was an hour. It was an hour and 20 minutes. It was very crowded on a Sunday. Oh when I first entered the restaurant a young GIRL with red 2 strand, maybe dreads, or lock abiut 6" long looked at me as if wrf you want tmrather than saying "hi may I help you? So, imlookibg at her like hmm no greeting nothing. Busy talking with friends "FINALLY" she say "how many?" it was unprofessional and salty. Her tip was .02 cent bc, that's how her demeanor was. The food is always delicious, and our server Karla was excellent. Ask Karla when you go there. She ✔️ on everything and made sure everything was satisfactory. Be sure to tip her well she deserves it I ❤️ love a waiter that comes back to check on things, one that has a nice personality and demeanir all throughout the service and mit only when it's all over and time to tip then want to be friendly. Karla was good from start to finish!!! The bathrooms were horrible, smelly, both the men and ladies. The kadies had tissue EVERYWHERE. When I say it was Filthy baby!!! I took a pass, and before I left, I informed the black lady manager with the cornrows.
My husband said the mens was jacked up too with feces all over the place, omg!!
Apparently, they had everyone working the floors, but no one cleaning the bathrooms. Maybe they should hire someone just to focus on these bathrooms bc people are constantly using them. It's just sanitary. This is like the third place with food I've visited in two days, and the bathrooms are ridiculously nasty. A bathroom is my per peeve. I don't want to come out with tissue on my shoes, or go in and can't wash my hands bc there's no soap, or the hand dryer doesn't work, no tissue, ect. Smh. But the food is always 👍 great. I come from the south suburbs when ik theres a new one at 349 indianapolis Blvd schererville, Indiana. Maybe next time, I will go to the one in Indiana, but I will make a visit as a mystery shopper just to see the bathroom, check out the ambiance, and the service. I will get an appetizer instead of the juicy steaks I get from the Oaklawn location first. If the one on in Indiana food is great as Oaklawn, it will be my new steakhouse for Mothers Day. Clean up you guys in Oaklawn. It's a must!!!! too many germs in the air. I was there for my birthday...
