If this were based on the taste of the food alone, they would have 5 stars no problem. Their burgers have a specific taste that I love so much that I could pick it out of a line up in a taste test. The double Smoke Shack burger was awesome. I also had the Hot Ones chicken sandwich which was delicious as well.
However, the biggest turn off about this place is the price. Its not a problem with the location, but a problem with their business model. It is so out of touch with what competitors on their level are offering. Especially that the size of the carry out box of fries is ....laughable. For almost $4, this puts Shake Shack's puny portion of fries at a price that is more expensive than what Culvers and Portillos charges for their large sized fries (which are the same large crinkle cut style fries). Both of these competitors large fries are almost 3x the size of Shake Shacks offering, so no wonder why people in these comments feel like they are getting ripped off. The price per portion DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. Sending $50+ when I spend almost $15-20 less with the competitor and receive more food makes me do less visits to Shake Shack.
Personally, I dont like places that have so many people working behind the counter that you have no interaction with. You walk in and order from a computer screen, which in its defense is easy to follow and order. But walking into a place where no one talks to you is just a very cold experience. Guess some people like that kind of thing, but it does nothing for the "experience". Like most automated places, it just feels cold and dead inside like a dive bar where people come to drown themselves in their problems. I think Id always want to do carry out and never actually eat there.
So, yes.. I will go back. I love the food. But Id really just go their for the sandwiches and swing by Culvers on the way home and grab some fries. If the size of the fries were comparable but at the same price they are charging now that wouldve been more acceptable. But to get such a tiny amount AND at a more expensive price... Really, what are you doing, Shake Shack? Your food is good, but its not THAT special.
Go to Shake Shack and enjoy the food at least once. Whether you come back...

Today, I visited this location at approximately 1pm and had a deeply unpleasant experience. Upon arriving, no one greeted me, which already set a poor tone. Eventually, a kind young lady from the back came out to assist me and took my order. I ordered two burgers: the new Truffle Burger and a free ShackBurger using an app code. However, the system had issues processing the code.
I tried placing the order through my mobile device multiple times, but it didnât work. The young lady attempted to help by using the checkout kiosk, but the systems were down there as well. After trying to resolve the issue, she consulted with the manager, Kiana, and thatâs when things took a turn for the worse.
Kiana abruptly came to the front, yelling unprofessionally, âHe didnât mention this before you took his order!â She also loudly complained about being on an important phone call trying to fix the systems. From the moment she addressed me, her demeanor was unwelcoming and unpleasant.
When I tried to explain that the Truffle Burger I was purchasing would unlock the free ShackBurger, Kiana rudely insisted that I was wrong. She claimed I needed to purchase a ShackBurger to receive the free one. Despite explaining that I had successfully used the same offer days before by purchasing just fries, she dismissed me in a sarcastic and condescending manner, stating that she had worked at the company for nine years and âknew how to do her job.â
Eventually, after retrieving paperwork from the back, Kiana discovered that I was indeed correct: purchasing any item unlocks the free ShackBurger. However, she failed to offer any apology for her lack of knowledge or her rude behavior.
As a manager, Kianaâs behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely unacceptable. This is not the level of service I expect from Shake Shack, a company Iâve enjoyed visiting in the past.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that proper training is provided to ensure that no other customer has to endure such...
Read moreThe service was ungodly slow. The short female manager with glasses needs to stay in the back and let the young woman with the red hair deal with the customers the young woman was way more professional. The short woman with the glasses showed down service SO much when she started yelling and rushing the employees. (I assume she was the manager)
I like the shakes, that was the reason I went. But the service was horrible, the wait time was also crazy. The restaurant was slow when I went in, but they where running around and donât know whoâs orders where whoâs even they all had names on them.
There was a young woman there with red hair and she was doing fantastic. But when the shorter woman with glasses showed up she started rushing everyone and giving out orders completely out of order having people that where waiting already and whoâs food was already done waiting last.
It made no sense. My order said it was done 10 minutes after ordering. But I waited nearly 30 minutes to even get my food and thatâs only because I asked them for it 3 times. And they didnât even start making it till the 3rd time I asked. And the short woman with glasses kept giving out orders completely out of order and gave me mine last out of all the people there. People that came in after me got there food before I did after being in the store for over 30 minutes.
She should have stayed in the back and let the young woman with the red hair handle everything because she was being nice and giving orders in order. And not yelling every single thing. That young woman was so professional compared to your short lady with the glasses that came out to...
