Goldberg's Famous Bagels — Restaurant in Wyckoff

Some of the best bagels in the area, unfortunately the employees are literally brain dead. This bagel store is very close to my job so I come here rather often. More often than not they will get my order wrong. Veggie cream often contains 3 slivers of vegetables. Today, and the reason that I’m writing this review I was the only customer in the store, I order “everything bagel with veggie cream cheese + an additional loose everything bagel” the man running the register understands me perfectly and rings me up as such, the female employee making the bagels asks me to repeat the order twice, and then gives me an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and an additional plain bagel, all while charging me the extra charge for veggie. Whoever manages this establishment should seriously reconsider how they interact with customers. The man who appears to be in charge is consistently one of the most unpleasant and unwelcoming individuals I’ve encountered. He seems visibly irritated any time children are present, which is incredibly off-putting for a family-oriented business. Most of the staff aside from the two younger gentlemen are equally rude and clearly bothered when asked to repeat themselves or provide basic service. Frankly, it’s baffling how some of them are employed. The bagels are decent, but nothing special—there are plenty of better options in Bergen County (shoutout to Bagel Nosh). I was just about to write a rave review about Goldberg's as I came across this one. I find it hard to believe that this actually occurred. Also - If your wife was so allergic and you witnessed this so-called chain of events, why would you proceed to give her the food and allow her to consume it? If anything, wouldn't you just ask for it to be remade instead of risk giving it to her? I'd say this ones clearly on you. Goldberg's has been my favorite breakfast spot for the past 5 years.
