Gourmet Garden — Restaurant in Wyckoff

Not what they used to be. Portions are smaller and less vegetables - only 2 pieces of brocolli in my general tso's lunch special. Flavor was still good.

What upset me the most was there lack of clarity on pricing. Their website stated $7.50 for the lunch special plus .70 extra for an eggroll. Their menu on the counter stated $7.50 plus $1.00 extra for an eggroll. When I paid, they charged me over $10. If they said $8.50 plus $100 extra for an eggroll it wouldn't have changed my decision to go there. What has is their dishonesty by not posting their current pricing clearly. I will most likely not...

This place is legit inedible, stay away! We got a few thing, general tsao's chicken, chicken and broccoli, and beef lo mein (w/ veg fried rice). The General Tsao was soggy in the sauce and flavorless, the chicken from the chicken and broccoli was rubber, and the lo mein couldn't be cheaper. Nothing about this place is good, for your own good stay away. If refunds were a thing with food I would have requested one. We didn't even finish the food, just threw it away. First off, I found the woman behind the counter to be so nice. The pork fried dumplings were really good!

It pains me to say the quality of the food didn't deliver (which was such a shame, the customer service was so on point!) I'm hoping it was an off night. Some of the food was falling apart and had weird flavors. If I was close (like walking distance) I would go back to this place. I'm far enough where I have to drive, I would not come back :(
