Pizza Love — Restaurant in Wyckoff

I’m not one to put more money in a rich stuck up house wife of New Jersey pocket, but I couldn’t pass up trying a new pizza joint esp after hearing the rich wife went to Italy to learn “ the craft “ of making pizza. 🙄 first I’ll say the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. They try to over charge you, so be careful. Like you’re not rich enough sweetie? The employees are nothing but young teen kids that have no idea what they’re doing. I’ll get into that in a bit. THE MENU IS TOO BIG. But I’ll say pizza is decent but never will be the best I ever had. The dough is nice, the crust is thin and fluffy. If you can get past the mounds of cheese the sauce is OK. It’s too sweet. We also got the order of linguine with scungilli in hot sauce. Pasta is good, you can tell the scungilli is canned. Sauce is good too. Now back to the employees, when we ordered our pasta dish it was like the young man wasn’t even paying attention. Called and said we wanted a traditional pie, and scungilli over linguine in hot sauce, the kid asks “ was that a pasta dish you ordered?” Uhhh... yes? Did I not just say the word LINGUINE? And then he asked what kind of sauce again I said “did I just say HOT SAUCE?!” Get better...

Honestly, the food is decent but it is not the best in the FLOW area. I've been there a few times during the week without the crowds and the service is ok. We had to wave the waitress down a few times for napkins, bread, and a to go box. The fried calamari is mediocre and is reminiscent of store bought quality. They use the narrow rings and the breading is flavorless and basic. The atmosphere is a bit stark and though it might be trendy, it doesn't fit the genre of food. I felt that the lighting was a bit blinding along with the stark wall color and tables. As far as the pizza is concerned, it's good but it is not the best. The cheese is good but the sauce is a bit acidic and lacks lots of flavor. I have lived in the area for 30 years and have seen pizzerias come and go. Pizza Love will likely stay, but it needs to step up it's game in order to surpass other pizzerias in the immediate area. I am certainly not bashing their food or quality of food, but I was expecting a lot more based on the hype from social media and other...

1st ~ Lets start : Excellent Food + Excellent Staff + (A) Great Selection Nice atmosphere + Great ( Secret Sauce ! DLicious !) ALL of "my" particular dishes! They Have WONDERFUL sauces ! YUM !! "IF" you are looking for a nice "NICHE" restaurant near the WYCKOFF NJ AREA that is ::: (WINE / BEER) This very nice cozy restaurant will please even the most discerning diner! The staff is very attentive and the service is terrific! I am a professional entertainer: (Concert / Jazz pianist ) Former "Las Vegas" Headliner so I have tried/ been to / experienced MANY Restaurants! You will not be disappointed : The Pizza is FABULOUS Overall : I am VERY satisfied with both the "GREAT" Service as well As the "QUALITY" food for a VERY reasonable price!
