We went yesterday between 1-2pm. The restaurant was about 1/3 full. At first we were seated right by the entryway to the kitchen which was loud, so when the waiter came over we asked to be moved away from the kitchen. The waiter was not welcoming or friendly and seemed annoyed that we requested to be moved. We order two flavored lemonades and a water. When my daughter tried her watermelon lemonade she did not like the taste. When the waiter returned to take our order we asked if she could change the watermelon lemonade to strawberry lemonade. The waiter left the unwanted watermelon lemonade on the table and walked away. We watched him across the restaurant standing near a table near the hostess stand. My daughter used the restroom and saw there was not a party of customers at the table he was leaning near. Eight minutes after we asked for the strawberry lemonade he brought it. By then my daughter decided she just wanted water. I advised the waiter that after waiting eight minutes for her beverage in a slow restaurant she no longer wanted the strawberry lemonade but just water. I also asked him to take the lemonade off the bill. He said he had been busy with customers and that is why it took so long. This is not true as we watched him the entire time. Only once our food was delivered did he seem to give a crap about service. Probably thinking about his tip at that point. I notice he was much more solicitous of the preppy looking couple nearby. Sad for him as I was a waitress earlier in my life I am a good tipper. Typical more than 20%. My daughter was paying but we did not leave a tip due to the crappy service. To top it all off, while the food was tasty and we all shared everything, we all have been sick to our stomachs today! This was a big meal so it was our only meal yesterday so we know the cause of the sick stomachs are they food we ate at Chili’s. We will never go to this...
Read moreWe went to Chilis for dinner in Wylie. Sat in the bar at a table and food was terrible. We started off with Baked Potato Soup and Enchilada Soup. Both were so watered down so we sent it back. The waitress then brought out 2 bowls, 1 each of soup that was just filled with filling and no broth if you will. You could still tell it was from the same batch bc it really didnt have much taste just a lot of filler . We then ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. I had the Santa Fe sauce on the side, husband had his on the salad, the chic was so overcooked it was not edible. Supposedly their was Ranch dressing on the salad but never tasted or saw any. Asked for a side and low and behold it was watered down. The chicken was cold and the lettuce and tomato was warm like it sat under the warming lamps. Never saw any avocado on the salad as advertised in the menu. Took 42 minutes to get the first cup of soup the an additional 38 minutes to get the salad, that is after we got the second bowls of soup. We eat there approx 2x a month and this is far the worse visit. It never takes us more than an hour and 15 minutes to eat on a busy Saturdsy night and they weren't that busy. Several open tables in the main dining room. I know the times because I was sitting across from the sign that states the time and date to drink alcohol. Our server was just mediocre at best. We are in our 60s and prefer not to be called hon by a female in her early 20s. I had to ask for a refill on my coke. And seemed kinda put out about the soups and the refill. Husband had a couple of Margaritas and as I was facing the bar, one of them sat waiting to be served for almost 10 minutes. Will we be back ? Probably but not as often. I would like a different server and am anxious to see if watered down soup is the new norm. We always order soup. It was not a good dinner to say the least. Hope you have a better...
Read moreVisited this restaurant yesterday day with my sister . Let’s first start off with the fact that the receptionists did not even walk us to our booth . Then upon being seated it took a minute but or waiter was at least nice and was very patient with us and not knowing what to order so that’s appreciated! I regret not being able to get her name . Now as far as the rest of our lunch it was not pleasant at all . I would recommend that the manager there have a talk with all staff but most importantly the bartender by the name Kristina to my knowledge. About talking about political and racial things . I was not only shocked but disgusted about the conversation going on at the bar between her and two of the customers sitting at the bar. Going on about why Juneteenth should not be a national holiday and then some conversations about African Americans . It’s disgusting that the conversation happened in the first place but even more that your workers are fine with openly talking about such things . This made me feel both uncomfortable and made me lose any type of appetite I may have had . I did shoot a glance over to the bartender and only then did she lower her voice to speak to the woman at the bar . I don’t care what your workers personal beliefs are but, if I am a paying customer just like anyone else I would expect the same comfort and piece of mind like anyone else in the restaurant. Sadly that is not what I had instead I was offend and very uncomfortable. I will definitely not be coming back . Especially because it seems this is what your establishment seems to encourage negativity and racism . So iam sure you will be more than happy to not have my company . Do better . Other than that service was fine a little slow to get the food out but...
