Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Xenia

Friends Experience last night -- Warning to our BIKER family and Xenia friends. We are not welcome at Applebee's in Xenia. Last night my partner went to pick up salads at Xenia Applebee's. She was waiting and talking to the bartender, whose name I will keep confidential. He recognized her from us being in there before and started a conversation about bikes. The place was dead. She suggested a bike night. They were discussing it and the bartender asked the manager, Chris what he thought about it. The manager had many negative words about it and said he didn't want a bike night. He hired a band (for $1000) and no one showed up. At Applebee's??! I think not. Anyway. She said it would bring in business. He asked if she was trying to tell him how to run his business. He said patrons didn't want to see this place filled with bikers. The bartender told Rox 'you heard what he said, guess that's the answer'. Chris came around and asked if they were talking about him. Rox said she couldn't believe the way he talked to his staff and that he was a dick. The waitress came out with her food to go and called her name for pick up. He said "NO!" And took the bag and sat it down. He had her credit card to run the 1 beer she hadn't even gotten to. She assumed he ran the food too since he knew about the order she was waiting on. When she got up to leave after getting the card back, she picked up the bag to leave. Another couple was coming in the door and he ordered the door locked because of an intoxicated unruly patron and threatened to call the police. She told him to go ahead. She dropped the bag of food and exited. She did use a couple of descriptive words on the way out the door. Apparently he reported her as an intoxicated person who didn't pay for her food. (Which she thought was paid for but left there at his request.). As she pulled into the subdivision she was pulled over by numerous police cars. A sobriety test was administered which she passed with no problem. They discussed what went on at Applebee's with this lovely manager, Chris. They told her not to go there any more. To which she replied... NO problem. So, if you ride a motorcycle, you may want to consider the words of their manager and his actions. You are not wanted there. Trip Advisor also has comments from past patrons regarding this manager and his actions towards staff and any customer complaints. You probably don't want to work...

2 friends and I visited the Xenia, OH Applebees March 9th, 2025. We go out to different places often, and rarely do we complain. We collectively agreed this was most likely the worst Service we've ever received at a restaurant. The Restaurant itself was very filthy, Bus Boys were wiping off tables after wiping chairs and throwing all the crumbs on the floor in a pile and left it. We looked at it while we were eating. We ordered our food and wanted the $2 Sunday drink special and my other friend ordered a diet pepsi. The waitress came back with a regular pepsi for our diabetic friend, and said they weren't selling the Sunday drink special. We asked about the $3 drink specials and an old fashioned and were told they didn't have the ingredients to make an old fashioned. We were getting frustrated and ordered $3 margaritas. We ordered an appetizer and wanted it before our meals . It took 45 min to get our drinks. We asked for 2 waters 3x while waiting for our Margaritas and never received them. There were 3 other tables in our section and they were all dealing with issues of their own in regards to their order. Our food came about 15 minutes before our appetizer came and no drinks until about 15 minutes after our appetizer. All 3 of us had things wrong with our order but stayed silent. We ate and were done, waiting on our check. The lady behind us had an issue as well as the table beside us. The waitress blamed the kitchen for everything. We finally got our bill and saw we were charged $5.75 for our $3 drink specials. The waitress took the bill to her manager and said he was giving us a discount on our drinks that we were over charged for. He took $3 off of 1 drink. We asked to see the manager and explain why we were frustrated. He didn't address it, just said he had our check. Everytime I go in there to pick up doordash orders I am always waiting because almost none of the employees ever acknowledge that I am there. I watched them look right past me and acknowledge another doordasher or customer and act like I'm not there. This Saturday the day before mothers day I went in to pick up an order that I really needed too because my customer tipped me really well. The girl with the flowers down her jeans looked right at me and ignored me as I tried to talk to her. Everyone else that came in to eat she spoke to and still ignored me. I called the store while I was waiting but I didn't get an answer. So then I had to doordash customer service to call and ask about the order and they told the lady that they were too busy to make the order and that they were not going to make it. That makes me feel like they just didn't want me to get paid so discriminated towards me and come up with an accuse just so I would leave. They knew that I was there for to pick up an order because when the girl walked past me she could see my phone. I have not eaten at this location before but I never will bring my family here if that is how I'm treated as a dasher. All I am trying to do is make money to support my life style just like everyone else and to be treated like I did something is getting old and it's messing with my money. I had to unassign the order after waiting 25 minutes and during that time I could have done 2 orders. But people don't care unless it's happening to them so for that I will never bring my husband and kids there and spend tips on servers who treat certain people anyway...
