As also a former employee of Taste of Italy for 7 months or so I am on here to defend the restaurant, the waitresses, and the owner.
I have never seen a roach the whole time i worked there and especially on or near the food. Ralph prides himself on his restaurant being clean and making sure his customers and happy and taken care of at all times.
At times Ralph may be stern with his waitresses to push them to be better and uphold his standards but he is not hard to work for and does not treat his waitress bad or disrespect them in any way. He will also help any of his employees any way he can not only with work but out of work as well his employees become like family to him. He has done so much to help me and my family when I worked there and i will be forever greatful! His tone and voice is naturally loud and can seem intimidating but that is due to his culture.
Also the waitresses are not eating off your plates that is not allowed in any way. They do not touch your food only your plates! I worked with Heather, Laikyn, and Liza when i was there and they are dedicated to their jobs and their customers they think of them more like family.
I did and still do eat there and also feed my son the food made there as well so if i there was any way the allegations Ive mentioned above were true i would not continue to eat there myself or allow my family too. I also do not work for Taste of Italy anymore and have no reason to lie or persuade people to come eat but i do think the truth needs to be told because the food is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing and is a wonderful place to take your family and kids if you want a good, hot, tasty,...

Raphael loves the community and donates a lot of food and money to charity events, children's ball teams, cancer society, etc. He has lived in this region of North Carolina for many years. He is an American, not a foreigner.
The food is excellent but you'll need to eat something other than pizza and beer to know that. The veal parmigiana is superb and I highly recommend it. The Italian style hot wings are out of this world, different from any hot wings you've ever had before. Their Stromboli is also very good.
The staff is very professional and friendly, especially Jose'. I've met visitors from out of state making their rounds of the local vineyards, many come here to eat rather than pay the high prices at the vineyard restaurants. Taste of Italy is a much better value.
This is a cozy little place and one of my all...
Read moreHorrible!!!! I ordered a veggie calzone and it was so bad. The broccoli was just broccoli stems and they were watery and cold like they were taken out of an old freezer bag. I lifted the crust and it was only covered half way in ricotta and cheese. The pineapples were clumped in the corner and it tasted like the vegetables were old. My husbands calamari smelled pungent of fish and was inedible. The Mac and cheese bites were dry and just a standard frozen variety. The sauces were opened in the bag and spilled everywhere. We literally took a few bites and it went into the trash, we got take out from Pizza Hut and it tasted better. I don’t recommend this restaurant....
