Hit and miss on some of the items we tried but good overall. Potentially great with the right mix and the menu is varied enough for return trips. We both got the 2-meat combo (16.99). This comes with choice of two sides and choice of puppies/rolls. I sampled from both plates and the takeaway on each:

Sausage: Absolutely loved this. Smoked and cut in half with slightly charred markings. Good flavor and this was excellent. My favorite meat on either plate.

Brisket: Thick cut, moist, and excellent even by itself. The sweet sauce for dipping accompanies this well. Worth another crack.

Ribs: Small. The sauce was good but these aren't the fall off the bone that some may be used to. Good however and someone's taste preference may get hit by this. I would try something else as there is too much to offer by way of meats.

Mac and cheese: Cheese central. I believe it is baked. Very gooey and stringy. Filling and excellent side. Worth a go again.

Corn fritters: Seemed a tad over fried and mostly breading. Dry. Would look elsewhere.

Okra: Also a tad over fried but could work with it. Not my favorite version. So-so.

Onion rings: Soggy. Would look elsewhere.

Puppies: You get a ton of these and I did not like these at all. Bland. Dry. Would need butter to really get through these but there wasn't butter given to you. Not sure if they have this. Would try rolls as the other option.

As mentioned before, the right mix of stuff could potentially make things great. Overall I thought this was a good meal but it didn't wow me for my taste buds.

Our server was excellent. Attentive. Quick. Even with the amount of patrons, he did well. I would give my review 3 stars but service gave me the extra star.

Terrible experience tonight at Little Richard’s BBQ in Yadkinville. We eat there once or twice a month. We drive approximately 18 miles one way from out of town. We have noticed the food quality declining, but today is the final straw. Thursday July 3rd, 2025. Service was slower than normal but not terrible. My wife ordered pulled pork and I ordered ribs, 6-bones. It came out fairly quickly but did not look great. The minute I picked up the first rib it was very hot to the touch as if it was warmed up or microwaved. There were decent in size and three were swiveled up. They were very dry with little to no flavor that not even extra sauce could help. We got finished and by wife asked how much the bill would be and I said I hope not more than a dollar. She then commented that her meal was not good and she did not care to come back ever. Her is where it turned really bad and we know to never go back and are making our first review. There were two young people behind the payment counter, a male and female. The female took my check and asked if everything was okay. My reply was “no, we have had much better”. The male began laughing out loud. I asked if this was funny and he said no, but we have already been told this by other customers tonight. Before I could reply he commented “this is not the night to be there”! My comment was “is that my fault?”. He knew my the tone of my voice I was really upset at this point. It is clear they were closing for the four, the meats were not fresh and they did not care about their reputation and did not care if they offered their customers value or quality at all....

You can smell delicious smoked goods as soon as you step out of the vehicle! Where it is located conviently next to a large parking lot with plenty of space, so there is no issues there.

When I first entered the smokehouse I was greeted warmly by staff and given time to look over the menu. They have a lot of varities of options including steaks, seafood, sandwiches (including burgers) and great soul food. Smoked sausages, chicken, potato salad, different bean options, fried ocra....etc.

So I got a plate with a pound of BBQ, potato salad, hush puppies, fried ocra. All of it was delicious and also seemed more fresh than alot of places I've been to. The fried ocra had the best consistency of any ocra I have ever ate. The BBQ was consistent and perfectly mixed smoked flavors. The hush puppies were very crisp but enough fluff in the middle to give it a crunchy and slight chewy texture.

Did I mention they also bottle and sell their own sauce? It is delicious on its own and almost seeks to cater to everyone's palette! Personally I say this not as a negative but positive. I wish it would have had more vinegar but I will not complain. Portions left me very content.

We were visited by staff every so often to refill drinks and the atmosphere seems to say different things, much like their food. Rock and different music plays over the speakers with sports on TV. Pictures of all types and license plates shield walls. It is really fun to look around check it out.

Overall, the joint might be small but the food is fantastic and made right in a way that makes you wonder if Mom is in...
