I have a long story for anyone willing to read. I went to an estate sale early as I was hoping to get two log end tables as it opened and I was told the opening time but they actually started earlier than they said and the end tables had sold. I saw that they had a black bear pelt and asked if I could pay them to hold it as I went to the bank as this was the country side of Selah and my bank was all the way out in terrace heights. They said no, no holds. So I go all the way to terrace heights and back and the bear pelt was gone. This was pretty upsetting to me. I go home and think well, what if antique stores carry that kind of stuff so I do my research of antique stores in Yakima and go through ALL of the review photos trying to spot any kind of taxidermy. I saw in a review photo of a whitetail deer pelt. I come here, inside everything is pretty organized and categorized. It’s lovely, none of the trinkets and antiques here are just random junk. Everything I kept well dusted, there’s no weird smell like most antique stores have. I found antlers!! To make up for the bear pelt I bought myself two sets of mule deer antlers they are now the biggest of my deer collection. But that actually wasn’t my favorite thing about this place. It’s the staff. Very kind, sweet, and generous people. Said hello in a kind tone as I walked by, helped me with the door on my way out without having to ask. Conversation didn’t feel awkward at all. I will gladly spend $200 a paycheck here and I’m so excited to come back again next week. They’ve earned themselves a long term customer. 10/10...
Read moreI used to frequent and enjoy Flippers until I observed Black Americana being sold openly and proudly in the store. Black Americana is extremely racist as it depicts black people from the perspective of negative stereotypes that are used to belittle black people. As a person of color, I no longer feel comfortable frequenting this store and will no longer be supporting the business as long as it allows racist objects to be bought and sold. If you do not support the buying and selling of racist objects, I do not recommend that you visit this establishment. It's a real bummer that the owners allow this in...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place. I was in town visiting my family and my former stomping grounds. As we walked in the person at the counter was talking to a customer about Nazi memorabilia. When the customer left they said to the person at the counter, "Have fun shooting. Make sure you shoot some liberals while you're out. Especially one's from Seattle". Everyone just laughed. I decided in the current climate I don't have any tolerance for veiled threats joking or not. I didn't want to give them my money so we went next door instead. This is a conservative town, I get it. But this...
