We have been there now for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed ourselves and the food both times. They have been open now for almost 3 months and only time will tell if the quality and service are maintained. While the prices are on the higher side of things, we definitely got our money's worth. The lunch service was very pleasant as we were warmly greeted by the owner's daughter and seated immediately. The restaurant was spotless and had a very comfortable atmosphere. The seasonal music playing in the background was pleasant enough and didn't interfere with our conversation. After selecting our choices, our appetizers and soup arrived very fresh and quickly. Theses selected items were absolutely amazing. The soup was not heavy but rather light and refreshing. The cream cheese Rangoon was perfectly filled, fried, and delicious. The spring rolls were spot on with the peanut sauce. A few moments later our water glasses were replenished and never once did they ever go dry. I make this point because all too often I will find my glass empty for an extended amount of time and it is this kind of attention to detail that adds to the overall experience. Our main dishes finally arrived and we were amazed at the flavors, quality, and portions given. The protein to vegetable ration was very generous and the sauce used was addictive. The beef was delicious but I found myself going after the perfectly cooked vegetables in that amazing sauce. My wife had a dish with pork belly and that too was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Overall our lunch was very memorable. Our second visit was for dinner and we brought our children so that they could experience the flavors and atmosphere. The daughter once again treated us warmly and even seemed to recognize us from our previous visit. All I can say is that this visit was just as good if not better than lunch. We ordered a variety of dishes to see if the flavor and quality existed throughout the menu and we were not disappointed. We purposely ordered the pho and ramen dishes and this was an absolute treat. These two dishes are yin and yang to each other. The pho is light, extremely flavorful, and had a very nice mouth feel that a good pho should have. The ramen on the other hand was rich, complex, and addictive. I ordered 2 sandwiches with one being beef and the other one pork. These were delicious by themselves but I found myself dipping into the pho and ramen broths for added flavor. Once again our glasses never went dry and the attention to details and our needs were satisfied. All in all we are extremely impressed to have a new establishment to frequent in the future. I only hope they are able to maintain their quality and service as 5ome goes on. The prices on the food are well justified and well deserved. I am eager to return again when the opportunity to do so arises. Thank you Mom's Dishes...
Read moreTook my dad to this new spot to eat a late lunch. Once inside, your slapped with such amazing smells, its like being hit with awesomeness!. . The smells of spices, herbs, sauces, and fresh cut vegetables fills the air. Such tasteful interior arrangement makes you fill welcomed and the smell of fresh food, makes your stomach crave anything their cooking. We were greeted with smiles, and we were able to choose were we wanted to sit, and we choose a small corner. It was real clean, and smelled so fresh. May I add that the restrooms were very clean!. . a BIG+. Once we got our menus, it was very hard to choose from all the choices, as the pictures made them all look good. So we went with all the ones we thought would taste great. The waitress asked if we could eat all that, and we said, NO, but we gonna try!. .. . haha. She smiled and laughed with us, and we were off to a great start. She recommend the Shaky beef, and Pho, we choose the spring roles, chicken friend rice, another beef plate, shrimp, egg roles, and the peanut sauce was really good. My dad got the coffee, and I got the lemon iced tea, and let me tell ya,
THEY WAS GOOD!. .
and we were off to the races as they say. We ate, and ate, and ate, and took 2/3 of it all home. So much food, great serving sizes, and the staff was great. Marianna who served us was phenomenal, and had the best attitude, and was a super great hostess. I would say, she's is one of the best hostesses I have ever been served by, and I have been all over the country, and in many others. She is top 5 hostesses. She could easily work at a 5star restaurant. The food was so good, and me and my dad had a great meal. He wants to come back which says a lot about this spot. My father is very, very picking when it comes to food, and it has to be made just right, but I think it was the kind service from entering, to check out, that made our visit a great one. I recommend Moms Dishes, to anyone looking to eat at a clean home made/ fresh...
Read moreNice place when you walk in. Looks fresh, new, clean. I was a little confused when you walk in it looks like you order at the front and then you go sit down and eat. They asked if we wanted to take out or eat in so we decided to eat in and they gave us a menu to look at and that was it. They handed us a dinner menu when it was 1 in the afternoon. First glance at the menu, very limited and rather expensive. Ordered a chicken pho and the veggie egg rolls. The egg rolls look like they came from Costco and took 30 seconds for them to make them and bring them to our table, for $8 you get three small egg rolls. The sauce was cold, it should be warm! The chicken pho was disgusting, tasted like boiled chicken in a bunch of chicken broth with a couple noodles. And the chicken was in big chunks not even shredded like in a typical pho. Lastly when we went to check out, you get charged a service fee for checking out at a restaurant, it was only 70 cents but who charges you to pay with a card at a restaurant? I will not be returning due to the bad service and taste of food as well as the prices. Also while I was eating there was a worker standing behind the soda machine out in the open eating with gloves on. Also watched same worker wash hands with only water for about 10 seconds. Other than that the restaurant looks clean visibly. Had high hopes for this place...
