If I could give 0 stars I would. Mexican food is my absolute favourite, and I was excited to try an authentic family owned restaurant. This food was absolutely terrible, a cold burrito from 7/11 has 100x the flavour and texture that was in the food that we ordered.
We ordered a Beef burrito, which was just some beef and cheese thrown loosely in a burrito with more cheese on top. Not a burrito at all. Absolutely no flavour, no texture, horribly greasy and wet.
The quesadilla ordered was supposed to be chicken, chorizo and cheese with some veg. All there was in the quesadilla was plain unseasoned chicken with cheese. No chorizo and tomato's and olives just thrown loosely on top. Also no flavour and a greasy horrible mess.
Genuinely cardboard has more flavour. No salt or seasoning of any kind on anything.
We ordered for takeout and was told it would take 5 minutes from the time of ordering. It actually took probably less than 2 minutes, and you can see from the lack of time and care that it's all be slapped together and microwaved in a rush.
The atmosphere and people seemed nice but I've genuinely never been this disappointed with food. I have never posted a review on anything before but this was EXCEPTIONALLY bad, especially for...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here last night. We love Mexican food, but many places fall short. I certainly cannot say that about this place! It was amazing. You have, have, have to get the table-side freshly made guacamole. David was our server and he was amazing. Not only was he super friendly and funny, he gave excellent service, which we find less and less these days, since moving from a big city. He made our guacamole right in front of us, using four whole avocados, holy moly! Although seven dollars may sound like a lot for guacamole, it is totally worth it! If you do not have a large party, however, anticipate bringing some home with you. And it will be even better the next day. It was absolutely the best guacamole we have ever had! And we've had a lot of guacamole. The Cadillac margaritas, (with a Grand Marnier floater) that David made for us were out of this world. You seriously probably only need one apiece, but we did share a third because they were so good. The Latin music that they were playing was well chosen, and played at just the right volume, neither too loud nor too soft. If you have not gone here yet, and you live in the vicinity, you really should go! And ask for David... you will not be...
Read moreI get takeout, usually a chicken, or pork burrito, they are somewhat different from what l was brought up with in central California, being here the flour tortilla is stuffed with a generous portion of meat cooked or grilled and fairly bland. The salsa, rice and beans are served separately and you can put these into your burrito (this is the style I'm used to, growing up in the SF bay area, they roll these items into the burrito for you) or eat them separately.
Delicious, when I splurge, and for me, any time I eat restaurant food it's splurging, I get two of them so my dog Boudi can have one too. I eat her salsa and I ask for no onions so she can have some refried beans and rice.
I live nearby and all I have to do is get on the phone and take a short walk and by the time I get there they have my order ready to go with s bag of home made tortilla chips. Service with a...
