Dollar General — Local services in Yreka

I like the selection and prices this store offers, but I cannot deal with standing in line for no other reason than most of the cashiers like talking. They will hold up a whole line just to continue whatever conversation they were having with a customer or amongst themselves. It's absolutely rude and disrespectful to the people standing in line patiently. And when you do get to the register, finally, they still keep talking and don't even acknowledge you. This older lady did it to me the other day, she rang me up talking to someone the whole time, she didn't tell me my total for a minute just jabbering on, and when she finally saw the total just rudely told me what I owed. The employees sometimes make you go through their line even if the self checkout is open. I don't want to go through your line (especially the rude old lady with short dyed black hair) because it takes twice as long as doing it myself. Just let me use the self checkout.

Update: They've started letting homeless bring their pet dogs into the store. That's going to stop or the health department WILL shut you down
