La Mexicana — Restaurant in Yuba City

Went today, its probably my favorite place in Yuba City or was, I ordered what I usually ordered. A super burritos with tripe. I get home, it's a stewed beef filling instead. I was going to just going to be like oh well, but I really wanted that tripe burrito. I went back and the lady told me I ordered the beef, I told her I wanted tripe (which is beef stomach), not beef. She said you ordered the beef, the tripe is extra. I said yes that is what I wanted. She asked why did I order the beef then. I did not. I said ma'am I would not have came back if I got what I ordered. I asked if I could get what I ordered and she said no and gave me a refund. I really did enjoy that place and if you are in the area, try the food. Sadly I won't be going back there. Not tripping I'm in California there is good Mexican food everywhere. If you are in the area check them out. My experience isn't everyone's experience. The food is good. The service wasn't great, the girl working there was nice and wanted to do a good job, but she is not yet fluent in US English, the older woman had an attitude but idk what she has going on in her private life. I have been living in Yuba City for years now, and have travelled to Mexico several times. This restaurant is my favorite Mexican restaurant in this city. I was just there when they opened during the pandemic. You can't serve yourself at the salsa bar, but just ask. When I did the owner even gave me a sample of the wonderful soup. To get the total Mexican experience try one of the fresh juices instead if a soda. The only pet peeves I would say is get more environment friendly, and get rid of all styrofoam. I stopped because I saw that there was Tripas on the menu. The menu clearly stated that a regular burrito tripas is $8.50. My total was higher than it should be. I politely as the young man why. He stated that it costs more because of the meat. I stated that in the menu right above him the exact burrito ( Tripas) was a certain price.
