Taqueria Guadalajara — Restaurant in Yuba City

This place has a really nice atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The woman at the counter was incredibly patient with me while I ordered, and I honestly can’t say enough about how great the service was.

That said, there are a couple of downsides. The inside doesn’t have AC, but they did have a swamp fan running, which gave me enough relief. My real issue, though, was with the carne asada fries. I’m a huge fan of these, but the way they’re made here just didn’t work for me. The crinkle-cut fries and everything else was under-seasoned—especially the meat. It tasted like no seasoning or marination went into it at all—where's the love?? Without the salsa, pico, cheese, and sour cream, there was nothing bringing flavor to the carne asada itself.

I also made the mistake of ordering mine with black beans, because they put too much, which just added too much starch on top of the fries. That part was on me, but it was still minor compared to how bland the carne asada was. No salt, no cumin, nothing really. I could barely finish half a plate, which is disappointing because I really wanted to enjoy it.

Another ridiculous thing were the price of bottled drinks. $4.50 for one! I can say that probably won't be coming back here unless they change the way they season their meats, mainly...

I had high hopes for this place considering all the good reviews on here. We walked in placed our order and chose our own table. We picked one and upon sitting down we felt how sticky the table top was. Don’t they wipe them down after a customer leaves!? No biggie we got up and sat at another table. While waiting for our food we noticed there was chips and salsa that we would’ve been able to enjoy while we were waiting for our food that we were not told about either. The last straw was a huge fly that kept flying around our food we had to keep swatting it away in order to eat. Not a good experience at all if they don’t care about the dining area not having flies I can only imagine the back where they prepare the food 🤮 Gave this place a try and needless to say we will not be going back. The food was only ok and definitely not worth all the other negatives...

We been coming here for years. But after the experience we had on 10/19 changed the way how I feel about this place. My husband passed out at the restaurant after we had our food. Nobody help me after I shouted out call 911. The staff just stood there and did nothing. I said it twice. My husband was passed out on the table. Finally one worker called 911. To make the story short none of the workers didn't help me they just stood there like nothing had happened. Even when I was on the phone with 911 cause the worker who called them didn't know what to do. I needed to put my husband on the floor to do CPR I had to scream out I need some HELP... The experience I had with the staff I'll NEVER...
