El Central Café | Méxican Restaurant — Restaurant in Yuba City

I called in a to-go order for my husband and I that was for 2 chicken enchiladas with everything on them. I had thought I was calling the correct restaurant, but when I showed up they were closed.

Turned out the name of the place I wanted was El Centro 545 Garden Highway. The old Mountain Mikes Pizza (from 17 years ago?). So, I went ahead and picked up the food at this place instead, and took it home.

Now I've had the chicken enchiladas from El Centro so I was expecting something similar. What I got was nothing close. While the food tasted ok, it was nothing like what I was expecting. The serving sizes of the enchiladas were akin to Taco Bell. Skimpy. And the price was almost $30.00. Ordered a number 4 with 3 chicken tacos deep fried they were delicious, beans and rice were amazing!! Food was like visiting grandmas house very homey touch to the food!! Muy rico the older gentleman was freshly making the food, he was in there all by himself doing everything. even then he did not take long at all making 2 combos fresh. We have driven by this wonderful restaurant hundreds of times over the years and my husband decided to see how authentic it was. It is authentic and the family that owns this awesome restuarant is so friendly.
