I am impressed!! Never heard of this place and never been to Yucaipa and I was in the area for work. What made me stop was I seen a sign saying vegetarian burgers/options… and it had a drive thru and I was like whattttt a vegetarian drive they fast food restaurant!??
I just had to go in. Listen I am very picky about my food. Plus I can cook well and I can put meals together out of nothing and I have a small habit of critiquing other peoples food lol… so walking in this place, I didn’t know what to expect.
First off, the place was very clean, the staff were friendly (at least the girl at the front counter was, those in management were a bit standoffish” I was and still currently am on a corporate fasting with the church and I am limited to what I can eat, like no white bread, or meat, or dairy, but I could eat eggs and wheat bread and obviously plant burgers to which surprisingly they all had… I wasn’t suppose to eat yeast, so though I asked for a wheat bun, I didn’t eat it…. I asked if they could add an egg, but to management it seemed like a request that was totally absurd to them and declined by saying they didn’t have any egg though the menu had breakfast options… it may or may not have said that breakfast was served at a certain time, but I didn’t see that it was still my first time and I was excited about what I could possibly eat And what it would taste like, which was pretty bland honestly. Overall, it is convenient, the food portions however are just too small. I spent $10 for a plant burger that was maybe 2-3 oz or less, and it was piled with lettuce. And a small size fry similar to that of McDonalds. And a drink size small that was pretty regular in size. Was I hungry yes, did I get full, no… but overall I liked the menu, the customer service of front counter cashier the fact it was young people working (teenagers) and it had a drive thru.. and it was family restaurant. I would go back for sure, but the patties are just too small. The pay rate for the employees don’t match the quality of the food. Still wanting to know why it’s...
Read moreIt's simple, they made my burrito wrong through the drive thru. I returned an hour later on my way home and met a rude manager who insisted that I should have had the receipt. I'm sorry, it either blew out of the bag or you didn't put it in there (admittedly, they usually do). I apologized for losing it and again she was hesitant to remake the burrito because I had no receipt. I reminded her that I'm not asking for a refund, just please remake it the right way. The burrito was even still somewhat warm from the foil. I frequent this location more than I should and have never had a problem with ordering in. However, this isn't the first time I've been s*d by the drive thru. Generally I'd throw it away but because I was driving right by it, I decided to go back. Their food is very good and normally they have good customer service. Angelina was the name of the "manager" who obviously thought I had nothing better to do than bring a whole burrito back for it to be made differently. I was so upset by how long it took her to remake it and when handing it to me, says have a nice day in a condescending voice. When I returned home I threw the dang burrito away and called the corporate office. Whoever answered the phone must have been the same person that trained her. I explained to him that I just wanted to let him know what transpired and that she could have used more professionalism in handling the situation. He was very abrupt and nonchalantly said Oh sorry about that, and hung up. I guess I expected him to at least act like he cared. I think I'll be eating a lot more of Del Taco from now on. Such a ridiculously easy solution turned into a really frustrating experience with...
Read moreBrought my kids here for a celebratory sundae after an awards night at school. Drive-thru moved like molasses. By the time you realize how slow it is, you're stuck and can't get out. Ordered the sundaes and asked if nuts came on top because my kids are allergic to nuts. The gal taking my order said something cryptic about nuts possibly being one of the ingredients in the vanilla ice cream, but seemed really unsure of herself. I asked her if she could ask someone and she said she would. Got to the window seemingly 10 mins later and a woman who appeared to be a manager reiterated that they weren't sure about the nuts. I asked if they could just read the package and she said it was smeared. I asked if there was a website or pamphlet they could reference and she coldly said 'no.' Finally, one of the sweet girls working behind the window came up and said she was able to read it and it said "made in a shared facility with nuts." For parents with kids that have nut allergies, we know this warning and decide accordingly what to do with it. Shame on you Baker's for not knowing the answer to this common question, and for the manager's apathy in helping get an answer to something they should know when customers ask. Nuts are a common allergy. 15 minutes in that drive-thru and my kids couldn't even eat...
