First off I want to start by saying that I have been wanting to go eat at this place for a while. I went previously, however it does not open till 430PM. So this Friday we planned out dinner and decided to go. I will say that the waitress was nice and did a good job. I ordered the Calimari to start. We ordered 2 kids portions of spaghetti with meat sauce for the boys. My mother in law got the pork chop special. And my wife and I decided to share the Ravioli plate. The Calimari was breaded lightly and cooked just right. However, the portion we received was very small. Not enough to share with friends or family. It would be suited as a single serving for one person leaving you wanting more. No drinks, just water and my son had an apple juice. The kids portion spaghetti plate was a very large portion. Big enough for 2 adults to share and it was only $10.95 each. The $34.95 pork chop special was huge as well and easily feeds 2 people. The $23.95 ravioli plate that I had to pay an additional fee to share of $8.95 ($32.90) however that was split in 2 was barely enough to feed 1 person let alone split between 2 adults. I believe I had a total of 4 medium sized raviolis. The flavor was ok and nothing special to write home about. Also I had previously seen pictures of the salads. My dinner salad was very basic romaine with dressing. The server brought over some graded cheese on a small bowl. The other waitress had a cheese grader and was grading cheese for other patrons. I'm not sure why they offer 2 types of dining experiences. After eating my small salad and the couple raviolis I had. My wife and I ended up sharing my youngest spaghetti plate with him. All in all with the tip included I spent $140.00. If you're looking for a place to take the family out to eat don't go here. The one part that I thought was a bit rude was that half way through our dinner a female staff member who was not our server and not the hostess came by and asked if we're ready for them to place our food in to go boxes. The ambiance was stuffy at best. If you want to take your family to a Italian restaurant and have more of family friendly environment, go to Bepo, or even olive garden. The portions, flavors, service and price point would be...
Read moreDisappointed. I had eaten at their Redlands locarion thats now closed. When we walked in, there was no smell of 'mama' kitchen. The meals for us both were bland. Needed garlic and more, even a leaf of fresh basil. Nothing yelled fresh. Salad was just pieces of romain lettuce, that's it. My fettuccine had no stuffing that I could see or taste. Was basically pasta only was okay, but bland. No salt and tables. Where were the fresh herbs? Bread, a dinner role crusty on bottom. Not even olive oil and viniger for dipping. Basicly, only the atmosphere and settings were on a higher scale, and the food was thus expensive for the quality, which is avaliable at almost any Italian restaurant. Our overall impressions and thoughts were... must be...
