Strongman Pizza — Restaurant in Yucaipa

The first thing that I noticed was that the guy behind the counter was wearing a mask even though he didn't know I was about to come in. As someone who has taken pandemic precautions pretty seriously, I greatly appreciated him for that.

The pizza is BOMB!

Let's start with the cheese bread though. This is that gooey cheesy delicious cheese bread which brings back childhood memories of the rare and exciting times that mom and dad got us pizza for family dinner.

Then we have the Islander. Boy oh boy, this Strongman Pizza take on a Hawaiian pizza is PACKED with meat and pineapple. If this is all you get, you'll be satisfied.

Yet we wanted more, so Margherita it was! Strongman's Margherita pizza tastes like the Margherita pizza's I've had out in the Albany area in New York. If you're not familiar, the Albany area has deep rooted Italian communities and some pretty phenomenal pizza. If you're in the mood for a Margherita pizza, try Strongman's, you'll be glad you did.

All in all, the location, the pizza, the experience, we will absolutely be ordering from them again.

Ordered an XL pizza and a side of wings. 40$. 22 for the pizza, another 18 for the wings. For the price, the pizza was well worth it, it tasted great and was a huge size. We ordered a half and half of pepperoni and hawaiian, delicious.

The wings on the other hand... the amount of wings you get along with the flavor, those wings are not worth the price. We got 8 wings and they were so extremely salty, we ended up throwing them out.

Also, we arrived with the notion of using a coupon we found in the paper for a free pizza but the owner refused it, stating that it wasn't for their store. We cut the coupon from their ad page in the paper but they didn't want to take it. Very rude. If it wasn't for how good the pizza itself was, we'd say to stay way, but if you come in expecting great wings or great deals, try...

The guy that took my order by phone was not the most friendly. Sort of sounded like I was bothering him honestly. Maybe he was just really busy or having a bad though. The pizza was ho-hum though. We are pizza buffs and appreciate a good artisan thin crust all the way to a big doughy deep dish. This was neither. To us it tasted like grocery store pizza. Just not impressed with any of the 3 pizzas we had ordered from them unfortunately. Maybe it will your favorite...
