Americas Best Value Inn Calimesa — Hotel in Calimesa

I had a bad experience where I did not have have hot water. I did call the manager and he offered to move me to another room, but that was a huge hassle as I was trying to work and had be in a meeting and didn't have time to be moved or to take a shower in another room. I have never experienced this kind of issue, not having hot water is a big deal, especially when you are paying $100 a night. I also didn't understand how moving me to another room was going to solve the problem. I had to ask him to leave my room as he spent 20 minutes doing the same thing I was doing prior which was messing with the shower knob to try to get it to get warm. This was just awful and he was quite rude because I was upset that I didn't have hot water. The road noise is also very bad, I read other reviews where it was stated the road noise was minimal. I do not agree it's literally right off highway 10 and you could hear the tractor trailers release their air brakes clearly. I had an issue right off the bat with my key card not working. Positive--||The room was clean enough for us to feel comfortable allowing our baby to crawl on the carpet. The mini fridge and microwave were especially helpful for us, traveling with a baby. The room was spacious for having just one queen bed, so we had space for our travel crib plus plenty of extra floor space for crawling. We requested the bottom floor and were accommodated. The service desk was efficient and gave us a AAA discount. ||||Negative--||The cooling/heating unit did not have a thermostat so it would just keep blowing cold/hot air until turned off. A few times in the night, we had to walk over to the wall to turn it on/off when we woke up too hot/cold. The bed mattress was especially firm and I was uncomfortable when I first laid down, but once asleep I slept fine. My husband did not mind the mattress and slept fine. ||||Would we do it again? I recently stayed at Americas Best Value Inn Calimesa and had a very disappointing experience. Here are the key issues I encountered:

Bed Sheets with Cigarette Burn Holes: The bed sheets in my room had multiple cigarette burn holes. This was not only unsightly but also concerning from a cleanliness and safety perspective.

Non-Functional Wifi: I needed to complete urgent office work during my stay, but the Wifi was not working at all. This caused significant inconvenience and stress as I struggled to meet important work deadlines.

Denied Breakfast: Despite the booking confirmation including breakfast, the property did not provide it. This was misleading and forced me to find alternative breakfast options, adding unexpected costs to my stay.

Overall, my experience was far below expectations. The condition of the room and the lack of essential amenities and services made my stay extremely unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
