Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Yucca Valley

The worst service I have ever experienced at Chipotle. Don’t even waste your time. I drove 45 min to get dinner here & when I showed up the line was wrapped around to the entrance. We waited 20 minutes just to order my husband and I’s meal. As we were ordering we were told there was only 3 meets to choose from and no queso or chips. Because they “ ran out”. The service was slower than any chipotle I had ever been to, with no care in the world to provide customer service. One of the employees answered “ were out” aggressively when I asked for queso. No I apologize, no unfortunately we’re out. The service was insanely disappointing. I am a huge fan of chipotle, hint to why I drove 45 minutes to get dinner here. Management do better and hire quality workers that are proud to work for chipotle and serve the people of Yucca, Joshua tree, and 29 palms. Please do better. I went to this new chipotle on February 7, 2024 around 6pm. The food was decent. I ordered steak quesadilla w/ veggies. I asked for a side of vinaigrette. The cashier stated that she didn’t have any. The young lady that started my order, what sides I wanted. I told her, then she proceed to tell me that gentleman working the other end of the bar would get it. The customers behind me ordered.

When the gentleman asked me what do you want on your bowl? I informed him I had the quesadilla. He asked me did I want the sides that went with it? Of course I do. The price is the same with or without sides, so I’m going to get my money’s worth. The rice and corn salsa was seasoned well. The black beans were so spicy that I couldn’t each it due to gut sensitivity with spicy food. Found plastic and napkins in my and my toddlers food. I say that again TODDLER could have killed my child.

EDIT: Reported to the Health inspector and this is what happened “The person in charge stated they were unaware of the complaint. The person in charge stated the barbacoa meat comes in a plastic package and is cut open with a lever cutter. The operator stated that the plastic is discarded immediately. The operator stated the barbacoa meat is placed in a deep pan and shredded by hand then is placed on the griddle to reheat for hot holding.” Not only is this a lie, but if you’re going to lie make it believable. Complained to Chipotle the day of the incident. There’s also MULTIPLE reports of food borne illness on the health inspector website for THIS location.
