I usually don’t review much but I have to if it can help another person. Ordered fish ceviche and noticed the fish was cut in big chunks different from the regular small pieces, slightly gray, and appeared to have just been made, not ā€˜cooked’ in lime/lemon juice for hours as is customary with ceviche. The taste was good with the seasonings and condiments but the fish had chewy pieces. I ate as much as I could minus the pieces I couldn’t chew. I paid for my meal and left. I ended up with an ongoing food poisoning that lasted 4 days and still I’m feeling lingering effects. I regret not sending the food back and ordering something else. My mistake was being afraid of appearing rude. I missed almost an entire week of work. I will not set foot in that establishment again. Fish ceviche was my favorite food. I love it at Mar Azul. I ate it at two places in 8th street and at a good truck in Somerton. I don’t know when I’ll have the courage to resume eating my favorite food after this...

Voted Yumas #1 seafood restaurant we decided to give it a try and Mariscos La Apoma did NOT disappoint! We had various dishes such as, botana especial served chilled with shrimp, scallops and octopus covered with lots of avocado and mouthwatering sauces. Ribeye aguachil which was tender and juicy definitely a house specialty! Stuffed shrimp Chile’s momia with mouthwatering special sauce, bacon, and caramelized crunchy onions. For dessert we had pastel de elote with a scoop of ice cream and what kind of tasted a little like pineapple nonetheless delicious, TRY IT!

The waitress was very tentative to all of us by serving and removing plates from our table and refilling our drinks with perfect timing.

The atmosphere was a little crowded with customer's but after eating there it was understandable.

Great food! Great service! We’re coming back for...

Ordered a pick up order, didn’t get items that I paid for and when I called to ask them the girl who answered was extremely rude and stated you forgot the stuff which was not the case. Didn’t want to assist or provide a resolution to that inconvenience they did. Go to Juanita’s it’s better food and better prices!

RESPONSE: A apology was not issued and nothing was complimentary I PAID for the sides! I would say you’re right I don’t make the time to place a bad review on a fast food restaurant however I do support small business and that’s why I hold them up to a higher standard and expect better customer service then I would at a McDonalds. I still chose to support your small business and call back to resolve the issue because I do understand mistakes happen. The only response I was given was rude customer service and I was treated like an...

-Ceviche de Camarón Cocido was good well portioned season well the salsa negra was delicious but be aware it’s a bit spicy it’s comes with other types of chile innit but for me is good for others who knows and it comes with tostadas they’re crunchy which is great not easily breakable or get soggy like others. -Todtada de Pulpo: which was great not a super chewy texture cooked right but I didn’t take pictures. -The taco de gobernador are good stretchy cheese Cooked shrimp to its point not chewy, salsa that came with it was delicious it complimented the tacos well, great texture tortilla and mix veggies. -The place is nice and clean but small staff was kind and helpful being our first time there so much appreciated. That being said if I’m in the area I’ll go back if not you should definitely gives this place a try. Note: They also serve breakfast

If you've traveled to southern Mexico and have visited the State of Sinaloa you know why they're called the shrimp capital of the world. Mariscos "La Apoma" offers food lovers the opportunity to enjoy recipes derived from a small village in Sinaloa, Apoma. Two generations of the Yllescas Family run Mariscos "La Apoma" the matriarch cooking recipes passed on for generations. Be warned the more authentic the food the spicier it gets, but they also offer a wide variety of other dishes that will make you come back for more. I personally drive south of the border for my shrimp cocktails and oysters. But according to Cristian Yllescas all of their ingredients come from the source the Gulf of California. Mariscos "La Apoma" is perfect for those that want to do more than just eat, they want to have an experience.

I ordered the fish ceviche and octopus & shrimp ceviche tostadas. The fish one was a bit strong tasting but the octopus and shrimp combo tostada was AMAZING. (Try it with their signature la apoma sauce) Told the owner I didn't like the fish one and he gladly traded it for another shrimp and octopus combo and took the fish one off my bill. I was super happy and satisfied
