Rustic resto bar — Restaurant in Punta Del Este

2 years ago we ate at this restaurant 4 times in 5 days. The food was delicious and the staff and service were great. This year we tried only once and were not treated well- we didn’t even get inside, we decided to leave after waiting over 20 minutes while bigger groups who just arrived were sat before us. The waitress this year was not the same as the cute and kind blonde from 2020- this waitress was rude and dismissive and sat several bigger tables before us and claimed that she couldn’t sit us or separate the tables for us only being 2 people. Although we saw several other 4 person tables being occupied by only 2 people. After seeing many of these big groups of people just sitting for a long time with menus and no service we decided to eat next door at la familia. Absolutely loved this place — a real gem in Punta del Este! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch or a special dinner. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service was impressively quick without ever feeling rushed.

The food was outstanding. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Portions are generous, and the pricing is more than fair for the level of quality and service you get.
