Zazú Puerto — Restaurant in Punta Del Este

we were a group of 7, we arrived at 10pm. 4 people ordered the same salad. After almost an hour the food arrived, the 4 salads were wrong, when we complained to the server he said the kitchen was full and it was going to take a while, but we said it was ok. Almost two hours lates the salads arrived - it was past midnight- the salad was supposed to come with avocado, it didn’t. When we complained to the manager about the wait, the service and the avocado he said we would give us a discount and send over a jar of clericot or dessert, we said we would rather another jar, they sent over the desserts, one was good, one average and one awful. During our visit to Punta del Este, our tour guide recommended Zazu Puerto, and we couldn’t be happier that we took their advice. The food here is absolutely delicious, and pairing it with a cold beer made the experience even better. The vibrant and upbeat atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

While the staff don’t speak English, they go out of their way to assist and ensure you have a great experience, which we truly appreciated. Their warm and friendly service makes up for any language barrier.

Wow. Just, wow. This might be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. I'm an American looking for a new nation to retire in and Uruguay has been a pleasant surprise.

Flank steak and various seafood delicacies were out of this world. Rack of lamb at the table next to us looked and smelled incredible. The hospitality, service, and atmosphere were exquisite. We've eaten at many restaurants in South America and this is probably the best overall experience.
