We had an early dinner at home and decided to go out for a walk and have some desserts. Our aim is to visit on the local cafes in the neighbourhood to taste the desserts they have and feel the atmosphere. So, after a long walk we arrived here at Caffee'issimo. This wasn’t our 1st time visit, but it was the 1st with the current aim ) We went in straight to the dessert fridge and stood for a minute deciding what cake to choose. Not an easy task when you have a sore throat and have avoid too sweet cake and an ice cream. My children finally chose brownie cake and a cherry pie, for drinks we took 2 cacao drinks for children and a pot of ginger-honey tea. The cakes were great, children enjoyed them, though brownie was too big for the youngster. However, they didn’t like the cacao, as they serve it without sugar and my children didn’t expect to put it. By the time I sipped and understood that we need to put sugar, they decided not to drink it. But my tea was splendid! I lobed it so much and my throat enjoyed it too as I also had a sore throat. The total bill was 19usd, quite expensive in compare with other places, but you can come here occasionally. You can pay with payme tat is good, but they also had click option but it's QR code is not working. I like it, when you visit the restroom there is a voice teaching you...
Read moreI’ve dined at this restaurant numerous times, different seasons throughout the year, different times of the day and I guess I got a pretty good take here so read on.
1* for customer service and attitude of wait staff and the manager. Totally unprofessional and horrible. Most of the waitstaff don’t even greet or put up an effort to make you feel like you’re at a restaurant. They sit you at tables full of crumbs and so unreluctantly want to make things right. The feel like prison wardens you see on TV. The level of customer service you get at local street food stalls are way better than this place.
2* for food because the quality is very inconsistent. Sometimes you find a slug in your salad and sometimes a piece of plastic. I should have photographed and posted a pic of the slug here on google! I thought I gave them a chance but they took my kindness and threw it back in my face. Report or complain to the server and they might cut 10% of your food bill, or give u a free drink. I don’t know how these people even got to be in the F&B business or even get a license to operate.
Come here at...
Well I have to leave the worst feedback I have ever left. We arrived and left the baby in the baby playground of the restaraunt. We ordered, supposed to be italian meals: bruscetta was very bad, instead of an italian bread, very low quality baguette was given, with. a mozzarella that only looks like a mozzarella. Focaccia was very cold. Then, they brought what had to be a Pasta alla pesto and pasta alla arrabiata. In this very premium place which is located in the center of Tashkent, they are using very low quality vermicelli, worst arrabiata souce and pesto that is not even a pesto. Only what we liked is the variety of teas they have.
What happened later, was even frustrating. In the beginning the girls who look after babies seemed very friendly. When the food just arrived they brought back the baby to us saying that she is crying, even she was not crying at all. We kept eating with our baby and all of a sudden, manager comes and tells us that they want to sit us in another place. I asked why, and she says there is a birthday part in this part of the hall, and we need to sit in another place. This was too much and we just left. As you can see they do not even have a working computer and they wrote our cheque in the paper.
I used to love this place in the past, we used to come very often. But in tashkent, there is a very bad experience, with the best places, when they start degrade after getting famous. This happens with many places. In this way, we will never have restaurants with the logos...
