Wij don't recommend going here. The food was ok but everything else was not positive. Ordered a salad but the english translation was not correct. So I asked for a new salad according to what is on the menu, but they told me I need to pay for that.. Also they decided to bring us other food than what we had ordered because what we wanted was not available anymore. They did not tell us beforehand.
They also charge 20% tip. As we were not happy, we did not want to add 20% onto the bill. The waiter told us that the money is not a tip but goes directly into the register.. this is also not mentioned on their menu. Basically the guys working there don't get a part in this and it goes directly to the boss. We felt like the prices on the menu are misleading.
The place was super quiet as well on a friday night. Maybe this should have been a warning. Overall we would...
Read moreAfter following a long corridor decorated with traditional Uzbek pottery we arrived on a beautiful sunlit terrasse decorated in the honour of the traditional novruz celebration. Comfortably seated in tapestry sofas we had the pleasure to enjoy our first meal in Tashkent Ouzbékistan. The menu is rich and we happily chose dishes with mysterious names. Everything was absolutely delicious and a special mention for the "Lazzat" cold horse meat salad with pickled mushrooms, onion and cucumber and the "Jupka " deep fried thin dough filled with meat. Draft beer and very reasonable bill made of our Navat experience a great moment. For those who, like us, may know and like the Navat tea-house in Astana, this place is very different with its...
Read moreThis was my worst culinary experience in the country. Most of the food wasn’t available, including such simple things as fries or lemonade. If you order dumplings, you can only get one or two because that’s how many they have left and they tell you about it after 20 minutes of waiting. If you order PASSIONFRUIT lemonade, you get Fanta mixed with water with a slice of orange. The annoying waiter comes every two minutes to ask if everything is fine and to remind you about the tip you should leave, it is unacceptable. When he makes a mistake when preparing the bill, he repeats one sentence on and on „no cheating, no cheating”. I don’t know what is worst, the food or the waiter whose cheek has...
