Wine and Food Pairing; Bourgogone Caves Du Lungy 2022 100% Chardonnay, Bourgogne is a classification in Burgundy it means this wine can come from any place in Burgundy, White Bugundy is always 100% Chardonnay while Red Burgundy is always 100% Pinot Noir, In Burgundy The higher classified Communes will command higher prices, ie; Chambertain for Red, ie;Montrachet for White, You can check online for more details, but by French Law these communes are capped at how much wine they can make each vintage. The Overproduction is either sold or used in the classification Bourgogone, depending on the shipper and vintage you can get some very high quality Juice in a Bourgogne wine and can be an excellent value, I suggest you taste the wine and if you like it buy more right away as different lots or batches will not be the same.
Tasting Notes: Classic Chardonnay Nose, firm mouth feel on the lighter side, balanced with firm acidity. In this particular wine I did not taste any higher rated communes. But for the price a really nice drinking Chardonnay and with the firm acidity a nice pairing with many types of seafood.
Lobster with Butter Garlic Sauce, This was an absolute perfect pairing the sauce was thick and in my opinion could have used a little more garlic but the freshness of the lobster was balanced by the wines acidity...a perfect compliment.
Abalone Soup was delicious, clear clean broth the white raddish provided a touch of sweetness and with hints of black pepper added a level of complexity, the Abalone was tender cut it with just a spoon, very nice soup we almost ordered another one.
The Live Shrimp, I asked the staff to recommend a cooking method and they suggested grilling and that was a big mistake, the grilled shrimp was overcooked and lacked the live shrimp taste, when shrimp dies they release an enzyme and really does not taste the same as when the shrimp is cooked alive, when cooked alive they will be sweeter, I know this from Hot Pot cooking, I also should have known better it should have been blanched in soup or even just hot water, I do not fault the staff this is my mistake.
The Other dish of a clam was sauteed with so many other ingredients that you could not taste the clams, I would not order this again.
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant as the service was excellent, you can select fresh seafood that are still swimming, small but nice wine list, and a helpful staff, I...

We recently visited Ơ Kìa Restaurant and here’s our honest and detailed review of the experience.
The space is beautifully designed and professionally decorated – warm lighting, elegant layout, and tasteful décor make it a comfortable place for various occasions, whether it's a casual meetup, a date night, or a business discussion. Unfortunately, despite requesting a quiet corner to discuss work, we were seated right next to a speaker, which made it hard to talk. Given that the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all, this felt like a poor choice in table arrangement.
Food-wise, we ordered:
Singapore Chili Crab (the largest size on their menu), but the crab was quite small and had little meat, which didn’t justify the price.
Beef Fried Rice with Egg, but the beef was tough and hard to chew, which made it hard to enjoy.
Flaming Beef – the presentation was fun and dramatic, and the flavor was nice, but the meat itself lacked seasoning and depth.
Service was a bit mixed. We booked a table through the restaurant’s Facebook page, but they only responded when we were already on our way, which was frustrating. However, once we arrived, the cashier and floor supervisor were very friendly and tried to make up for the earlier mishaps. Since we were the last table at around 10 PM, they even played our favorite songs to make us feel more comfortable – that was a very thoughtful touch.
But the most disappointing part was: our helmets were stolen right outside the restaurant by two thieves. While we understand this isn’t entirely the restaurant’s fault, it does point to a lack of proper security, especially at a place that charges premium prices.
Total bill: 2,464,000 VND – definitely on the pricey side, considering the food quality and overall experience.
Final thoughts: Ơ Kìa Restaurant is a beautiful place and worth experiencing once, but we’d recommend being mindful of your belongings, clarify table requests in advance, and set expectations for food quality...
Read moreCame here because of all the “good reviews” but left very disappointed! It reminds me of those tourist trap restaurants you see in Bui Vien in Ho Chi Minh City, with the loud music and scantily clad ladies. Should have walked because a good restaurant wouldn’t need sexy ladies to entice patrons!
We ordered a beef rice, which we were unaware contained raw beef and raw egg since the menu did not state that.
The steak platter was terrible, the steak was a pale grey colour and did not look appetising at all. The grey colour was very likely caused by freezer burn, meaning it had been kept frozen for too long and therefore not fresh! The fries were oily and stale, like they’d been fried several times.
Our beef rib platter just looked like a dog’s dinner, and I had to force myself to eat it as I don’t like to waste food.
The lobster was ok, although there was not that much meat… definitely not worth the 2,000,000 VND… also, the garlic butter sauce was more like a curry.
Overall we paid around 4,500,000VND for 3 persons (no alcohol) which for Da Nang prices is a lot… not a problem IF the food was tasty, but on this occasion it wasn’t.
Atmosphere was dead. We were there from 19:30-21:30, and only a couple of other tables were occupied, and the loud music made it feel more like a pub/bar than...
