The Sail Rooftop Dining — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

The Sail is a very expensive restaurant in Vietnam terms and with this price one would anticipate a better service experience. Service wise it is minimal kind which you would get at any place or with some decent restaurants charging a margin of the price charged by the Sail, the service was so much better. Was asked doneness for the Mediterranean beef kebab and I requested medium, but it came medium well and well done. Was puzzled why did they even bother to ask me if it’s not done correct. It’s quite basic to at least get the doneness accurate. It’s 650k VND for this dish. Sofa seats were too low for proper dining and with the staff to customer ratio on that evening, a much better service could be provided. There’s no proper sharing plate provided so had to use the plate intended for bread which made the dining very clumsy. Dirty cutleries were just placed on the place mat when the plates were cleared which was quite disgusting given the price that you are paying at this place. Having done a lot of research to find a spot for my wife’s 60th birthday we arrive to find a dead environment people dressed in shorts and t~shirts and a menu with a pitiful vegetarian options There is a indicted dress code offered which is not correct as people are just in shorts and T-shirts The food for a vegan menu is a basic poorly constructed sheet from a cafe’ which fits better with a road side fast food cafe The restaurant reminds me of a hallway with table and chairs and no atmosphere with a great view. The food felt like a fast food style option and it all came very fast so was not cooked from fresh which is concerning! This is a hidden gem in Da Nang for sure. It's located at the Hilton Da Nang on the 28th floor. The views are amazing so it's a must to stop by and get drinks and see the beautiful views of the river and you can see all the way to the beach. I've eaten here about 4 times and all the dishes have been exceptional. The main chef is amazing and all his dishes are delicious. I've tried the duck dish, different soups and salads and everything has been amazing. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices here.
