BÁNH MÌ XÍU MẠI 47 — Restaurant in Da Lat City

Holy moly this place is good. There’s a lot of Banh Mi Xui Mai places in the city but this one I guess is one of the most famous. Make sure it says 47 in the name if you take a grab - thats the address too. The meatballs come with the most flavorful broth and are tender and delicious. Two meatballs per bowl of soup. I also ordered the Banh Mi with egg and shaken beef. Basically a deconstructed Banh mi. It was great but the “meatball” order was what blew my mind. Also they tend to run out by 10am i heard so come early in the morning. They open at 6am. And it’s lovely to have this in the cool mountain air. Clean area with napkins and hand spray. Service is lovely too. They placed my bag on a chair for me when they noticed it on the ground. ❤️

We came here for a very early lunch and it was fantastic. Very quiet at around 11:30. We ordered the standard Banh Mi Xiu Mai and the Banh Mi Thap Cam (mixed). The mixed version had pate, meatball, shaking beef, egg and sausage. It was extremely hearty and delicious. It came with soup and of course, bread for dipping. The Xiu Mai is the same little soup with two meatballs in it, served with bread. It’s much lighter but also delicious. The bread was perfectly crusty and so good we asked for more. We stumbled upon this hidden gem while searching for a nearby spot on Google Maps, and we couldn’t be happier with discovering it. Their bánh mì xíu mại (Vietnamese baguette with meatball stew) is incredibly comforting and full of flavor. The broth is rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of seasoning, making it perfect for dipping the crusty baguette. The meatballs are tender and pair beautifully with the warm, savory broth.
