The best things come to those who wait. You might have to wait for the chicken to be BBQed, depending on when you arrive and whether there are other guests, but this is one meal that is worth waiting on. It’s true— the best things in life are worth waiting for.
This is a perfect meal. Let me explain why. The best eateries (restaurants) are those that specialize in one thing. This allows the cook / chef to focus on perfecting their signature dish. This is true especially for places that cook meats, whether it’s pork ribs, or chicken, or steak, etc. Cooking the best meats require consistency so that the meat is not undercooked or overcooked but perfectly cooked every single time (and even when cooked in big quantities), and this kind of perfect consistency and skill can happen only when a chef / cook has the time and practice to cook the same kind of meat over and over with multiple practice until they are the absolute best at it. Then their reputation is solid. And the reputation of the restaurant is solid.
And this place cooks only one thing: chicken. And they do an absolutely amazing job at it. They also do a complementary side, which is sticky rice. But smartly, they have 4 variations of their sticky rice. This kind of focus allows for the perfection of their craft.
A perfect meal requires the main dish, a pairing side, a signature home-made sauce to accompany the dish, and the right toppings and garnishings. And then a beverage selection that matches well with the meal. And this restaurant succeeds in each of these criteria, thereby combining all to make it a perfect meal. Whether you like this meal or not depends on whether you like roasted chicken, because if you do, everything else is perfectly complemented to match this one focus: perfectly roasting the chicken.
Highly recommend their pot of tea to finish off the meal. If you are more inclined to enjoying chicken with wine, they also have local wines available. That’s what I mean when I say they’ve already succeeded in ensuring everything complements the star of this show: their roasted chicken.
Absolute recommendation! Eat here while you are in Da Lat. ...

The price is reasonable, kinda cheap compared to the common price of Da Lat but what we got is out of expected in a good way. The chicken was well-seasoned with mild spiciness, herb scent, the taste is REALLY GOOOOOD. Actually the chicken itself was not spicy yet the sauce was however i couldnt stop deep the sauce 😁. The rice was nice-structured and taste quite well with the sesame, sugar, salt, peanut mixture. A good place, good food, should try when come to Da Lat.
*addition: for me this kind of chicken should go with a glass of beer but as i remember the diner...

It is grilled with coffee wood, the spices blended well together. If you order bamboo sticky rice, you will get a sesame/peanut dipping condiment. The owner is very warm and inviting. My wife and I are hooked on it after the first bite. A must eat in Dalat on a cold evening. Pro tip. 👍 Listen: You must go early on the weekends. They only make a select amount and close shop. The chicken is a must and you will not be disappointed. 🍗 🍃 🌾
