On a Sunday without having breakfast, I reached this place after more than hour of driving, the first thing , a person doing barbecue outside doesn't let me in, and says you cannot go inside, you must book first by calling. I asked if they have even a chair empty, he looks inside and denies. Out of anxious, I went inside and asked if they can give a take away which they agreed. While I was looking at the menu, the guy(barbecuing outside who wasn't letting me inside) he came and he says why am I looking at their menu, you can look from Facebook or Google. Are you really kidding me? Is that how your employees work here? They don't even have basic customer service and don't even greet you with a smile and offer for a glass of water. Instead, they want you to leave. Secondly about Medovic cake. Surprisingly they want you to order two and you cannot order one. When they got it, it looked too small and one single to which they says that's two if you cut in the middle. What's with that ? Isn't that scam enough?
I don't recommend anyone unless you want to be harassed by the employees and disappointing by their rules.
Reply to your response- Dear Restaurant and the owner, this is not professional to count on customers mistakes even if there is any, (not in my case, I'll explain below). You should take responsibility of your mistakes and for least apologize for any inconvenience.
Now coming to your response, both the lady in the reception kept telling me to order two medovic, and the other lady also said you must order two and cannot one. So I know my English and I also kind of know their English(been in vietnam for quite sometime to understand what they mean and I'm not new here) so don't tell me I'm mistaken. Secondly no one showed my any Facebook or Google page, the guy just bluntly told me to check on Google on my phone instead checking your menu(just because there is a passage right in the reception, and he had to keep coming and going out. Customer's are not at fault if your reception is on the passage, the least , be polite and ask Customer's politely to give way) Lastly your response shows you don't take responsibility, neither your customer seriously, and far too away from treating and make them feel at home or at least have a great experience) You can't question about my other disappointing reviews of wherever I have got that. As a customer , it's my right to get the right service with at least no harassment, and hassle. I should have checked your reviews beforehand, and your other reviews shows clearly about the bad experiences, and even similar experiences other customers had and no top shows your arrogance in your response to them too. If you don't correct that, I'm sorry, no one would like to comeback to your restaurant for humiliation.
Conclusion. I read good things about this restaurant and a wonderful story(real life) about the owner and that urged me to come and support your business more, but guess that urge seems to be kicked out of the park by your response and behavior. All a customer want is for you to greet with smile, make them comfortable. The least tell them anything you want politely. And if there is any misunderstanding, then own the mistake and apologize....
Read moreWell, first of all the time you have to wait for your food is diabolical. It took them like 40 mins to bring pelmeni. Which were actually not really nice, not enough meat, pretty plain, not much taste. We ordered a big portion, but it seems they try to save on portions, cause it was the smallest plate of pelmenis I’ve ever seen (glad I haven’t seen the small one lol). Next, the taste of the kvass is kinda chemical, metallic or idk. It feels like you’re drinking something, what was mixed with a rusty nail. 50k for 0.5 bottle, homemade I guess. The salads were nice tho. And served fast. The desserts were okay, but “medovik” had a funky sour taste. Authentic medovik shouldn’t be sour. I guess the cream was bad, idk. They cut the dessert into small pieces.
Anyways, the atmosphere around was pretty nice. All the posters and the table clothings. Can’t say anything bad about the waiters. She brought the menu and took the order pretty fast, not rude.
There are some sweet cats around, but be careful if...
