— Always wanted to visit intercontinental @ landmark 72 in Hanoi. So I did.

I made a reservation for Stellar Teppanyaki thinking of it as a treat. I was so wrong.. on to the review

Ambience

It was indeed beautiful, the Teppanyaki station had an amazing backdrop of Hanoi which changes as the sun set.

Service

Service was really good. Nothing less is to be expected from a renowned hotel

I however, expected more of a show as that is why we go to teppanyaki no? There was barely any show other than some “Fire”

Food

After flipping through the options, I chose the earth menu to have an idea if I should return.

I will not review every dish safe for those that left an impression. Here goes

Chawanmushi

Looked great at first but upon eating it, a really strong foul smell appeared, chalking it up to the konbu base, I thought that it was just me. Boy was I wrong ...

Steak Was hands down the best dish of the set. The meat was succulent and flavorful. Every bite was satisfying.

Other comments The other dishes were either tad bit salty or borderline tasteless....

The whole night cost me about 5m VND (usd 210~)

Was it worth? I have to add a point.

At about 3am, both my guest and I woke up to a horrendous stomach ache and was left sitting in the toilet for an hour.

I am 120% sure that it is something we ate at Stellar as I practice a very strict intermittent (20-4) that opens my eating widows only from 5pm. My reservation as 6. ——

The CS from Stellar told me they will contact me but it has been a week and I have yet to hear from them.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Stellar Steakhouse thanks to our waitress, Ms. Ngoc Anh. She was professional, attentive, and spoke excellent English, which made everything seamless. Her recommendations for steak were spot-on - perfectly suited to our preferences.

What impressed us most was her attentiveness: she checked in on us multiple times without ever being intrusive, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Her warm demeanor and outstanding service truly elevated our evening.

We recently celebrated my little brother's birthday at Stellar Steakhouse, and it was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Our waiter, Đức Mạnh, was amazing. He was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and adding a special touch to the evening. Moreover, the steak was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. It truly made the celebration extra special.
