I had been wanting to dine here for months and finally we set the time to do it. The manager graciously decorated the table with flowers for our bday occasion , and even added a flower to every other table. Food was served without a long waiting time, and each dish presentation is super clean. I was surprised at a couple of things tonight, first that no bread is served with the pasta, which would have been a really nice touch, and no small bread or apertif crackers come with the salumi platter. Secondly, the sausage rigatoni was overly tough to chew despite ordering al dente. Unfortunately they were not serving lasagna that evening so we opted for rigatoni instead. Overall still a good dining experience and the food flavor and quality excellent. Price seemed reasonable for this quality of food in Hanoi, especially for a special occasion. We dined outdoors on the rooftop to take in the cool January air and it was very comfortable. The open rooftop was acceptable to my tastes but I think my partner appreciates more modern and less wear and tear on the furniture and surfaces for dining decor. Overall very nice evening and thanks for...
Read moreI spent two weeks in Hanoi working on a project and this restaurant was located behind the hotel I was staying at.
While all of the local food I had in Hanoi was good, I was feeling a bit homesick and burnt out during my visit. I have zero shame admitting that I went to this restaurant not once, not twice, but three times during my stay.
The food is pricey for Hanoi, but coming from America this is a steal! Everything is homemade and delicious.
I tried cheese platter, gnocchi, risotto and duck pizza during my three visits. The gnocchi is pillowy soft and the sauce complimented it well. The risotto was also well cooked and the duck pizza was a fun twist on a traditional pizza.
You have a choice of sitting inside with air conditioning or outside in their upstairs patio. The patio is a prettier setting for dinner, but if it's hot might not be...
Read moreThe owner seems very passionate and the food we got was good, but it was not the authentic Italian food we were looking for. We had a hard time choosing food because most of the food didn't even sound good. The owner said he tries to combine local Vietnamese and Italian food, so it's a fusion restaurant. In my opinion having visited Italy multiple times, don't mess with Italian food, it's already perfect. The restaurant lacked Italian classics and instead had things like blueberry pizza and jackfruit apple caprese. It's also very expensive for Vietnam, a salad was 400k VND for example. Even in Rome Italy a salad isn't...
