Review for bahn mi only.
Was disappointed that at 7:15pm the restaurant was closed and could only order bahn mi. I came to try beef fried rice based on good reviews.
Ordered 1 chicken and 1 pork bahn mi.
Tldr: didn't like them. Very westernized. I've had hundreds of bahn mi and these are for tourists. Not a bad thing. Maybe you'll love them. Not what I was after. 2/5*
First off, they were very lightly toasted. Bread was barely warm and a little too soft for my tastes. I like a good crunchy toast. But some staff at various places under toast to save time. It happens.
The good - meat quality. Shredded chicken breast a plus. Good amount, lacked seasoning.
The pork was very thinly sliced, kinda like char siu. Not enough pork. Didn't really taste it.
Rest of the toppings - lettuce, tomato, mayo and the orange sweet chili sauce I really don't like. Honestly don't recall if there were other more traditional toppings mixed in.

If you want a more western style bahn mi, this could be your...
Read moreDelicious dinner at Mamas. Don’t even open the menu, the proprietor (mama I assume) will recommend local favorites and show you how to eat them etc. This is not the place to go for westernized versions of the food, or Pizza as so many restaurants nearer to the old city serve.
