We stayed here for 2nights. My family had a late dinner at the Hotel restaurant on our last night. My daughter had a spaghetti bolognese and shared pizza and papaya salad with us. We were all fine but my daughter got really sick following morning. She vomited really badly and had a diarrhea with dizziness. She should stayed in the bed whole morning. I asked the hotel front desk lady for the late checkout staying one of the rooms that we stayed since my daughter was really sick. The front lady said “no” because our room is a connecting room and I had to move to new room for the late checkout. They charged me 700,000 VD for a room of 5 hours late checkout and I thought that is reasonable. However, to change the room, she asked me to come to the front desk to get the new key and I just did what she asked then she said she will send someone with the new key and luggage. Well, I told her I can change the room myself with the key. And she insisted she would send someone with the key and luggage. So, I said okay. Half an hour later, a guy came to help the luggage then he asked me the key for the new room! What a wonderful communication they have! On top of all this late checkout hassles, my daughter was sick n laid in the bed. I called the front lady and I showed my unpleasant feeling against her bad communication between the guest and staffs in general! Amazingly she blamed her male staff who came to help my luggage and I told her he is totally fine but she had a problem! This hotel needs better English speaking staffs or at least someone who has hospitality over their guest. My daughter was sick after the hotel dinner but I didn’t blame the hotel nor complain it until I had another hassle over the late checkout procedure. No one, the front desk people, even asked me whether my daughter was okay when I asked them for the help. Now, I think should I ask and blame the hotel for my daughter’s sickness? I had a reason that we had a late dinner at the hotel not at the night market. The night market was dirty and I saw a rat in one of the well rated restaurants in the old town the other day so I had a big concern about their general hygiene and I trusted the hotel. Therefore I decided to have a dinner in the hotel although it was little late. However, my daughter’s food must not be alight and she vomited and had a terrible diarrhea following...

Room type: Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Rice Field View Cost: Approx. VND 1,700,000 per day Travelled from India
Lasenta is a beautiful boutique hotel nestled on the outskirts of Hoi An, offering fantastic value for money. The location is incredibly peaceful, with stunning views of the surrounding rice fields. The interiors are not only aesthetic but also well maintained. It also has a restaurant that serves delicious food.
Spacious and Luxurious Rooms The room was spacious and filled with natural light. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was a real highlight, featuring a separate bathtub and shower—both generously sized and perfect for unwinding. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary kettle, tea, and coffee, along with the option to indulge in delicious (though chargeable) Vietnamese snacks.
Staff The staff at Lasenta were incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite arriving late, I received a warm welcome. They took the time to explain all the hotel's amenities, recommend nearby attractions, and answer all my questions. Since the staff was comfortable with English, it made communication easy. The housekeeping staff were attentive and meticulous—my room was always spotless, and they were quick to replenish any amenities. I especially appreciated how they removed their shoes before entering the room—a small but thoughtful gesture.
Spa They offer discounted spa services to guests. I was treated to refreshing drinks both before and after a relaxing one-hour full-body Vietnamese massage. This was a truly rejuvenating experience, and I highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

Read moreBeautiful hotel but so many flaws. I booked the deluxe rice field view. But my view is a power-line view. Advertised pics when booking was at least level 4-6, we were put at level 2 so all we can see are the trees in front and power-line. We said ok we’re only here for 1 night. We’ll go to the pool area on level 4 for one great photo of the rice field. We woke up at 5 to be able to catch the sunrise, and we missed it already (so early) but it was still beautiful outside. Unfortunately the pool area is not open until 8am, by then the sun is already up too much and we will miss our opportunity. The receptionist said it is hotel policy and cannot help us because they will get in trouble later. We cannot call the manager either. Normally pools are open for early swim by 6am or by sunrise. It is listed as a 4-star hotel but I feel like the service is from a 3-star hotel. Now the room is quite large with all the amenities we expected. We also love the power outlet by the sink, so many hotel missed that key aspect. And having outlet on both sides of the bed is a plus. I love the large bath tub and the rainfall shower. The separated toilet is also a plus. They only gave us one key to the room and the AC is not on unless we have the key in the slot so when we get to our room it is quite hot. And when we leave to go outside and come back we have to turn on the AC manually. And wait an hour or so before the room is cooled. Not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. Normally the key would control all the lights, but the AC is separated to keep it reasonably cool. I want to note that the employees are great, they want to help as best as they can within “policy” limit, but the policy set by the manager of the hotel is quite...
