From the moment we arrived in Vietnam for our month-long stay, we made one of the best decisions ever—stopping for coffee at May’s Coffee. My kids enjoyed a delicious plate of spaghetti, and I had the best coconut coffee I’ve ever tasted, even better than anything I found in Hoi An. But more than just great coffee, we found the most incredible people on the island.
We ended up visiting May’s Coffee every single day for 30 days. But it wasn’t just a coffee shop—it was also a booking office that helped us arrange mini tours and transportation at prices far lower than anywhere else. They made incredible food, and my kids got their school lunches there daily at an affordable price.
Over the month, May’s Coffee became like family to us. We were welcomed into their celebrations and outings, and Hannah, Piona, and their mom took such good care of us. Every day, we were greeted by their warm smiles. They even helped with my kids’ haircuts and nails!
I can’t say enough good things about this place. The kindness and generosity we experienced here will stay with us forever. Thank you for the amazing coconut coffees, the friendship, and the love.
We will miss you dearly.

Read moreA Home away from Home :) 2 sisters Hannah and Fiona, her partner and their Mama and Papa were our second Family whilst staying in Hoi An. From the exceptional managerial skills to their kind approach to all of their customers they are the best hosts we have ever come across in the hospitality industry. From day one they looked out for us, showed us personally all of the best tailors, shoe makers, places to visit and it never felt like it was their job, it felt like they were really looking out for us and doing it with pleasure. All of the food that Mama makes is delicious. We tried nearly everything on the menu and it never disappointed us. This is the place to recommend to your friends and family when visiting Hoi an. They do food, drinks, offer tours, do laundry, order taxis, do manicures and pedicures and all while having a huge smile on their face every day. They even have a cute puppy Lucky who steals your heart as soon as you meet her. We have made friends for life and can’t wait to come back...
Read moreHonest review : 2.5 because the people that work there are really nice : really good service and agreable. It is the only place in Vietnam where someone asked if we enjoyed the food.
Food : it was really bland. It is catered to North Americans and Europeans. It's a menu with many (I think too many) options. The chicken rice had little to no flavor. Not enough herbs and vegetables. The chicken was too cooked to the point it leaves a dusty dry feeling in your mouth and it was cold. The rice was hot. It was not a good mix. We had to add soy sauce, chili and the fish and lime sauce from the spring rolls to make the rice okay. The spring rolls were a bit too dry. They were missing a lot of flavors from the spring rolls you can have where locals eat. The best thing we had from our lunch there were the 4 small pieces of watermelon they give you at the end of your meal.
We might have been unlucky with our choices given the many great reviews from other customers. The reviews were the reasons we went...
