We chose this hotel specifically for the lake view and based on the photos of the room on Booking. We booked for 3 nights and were very disappointed to discover that there were no lake view from our room. We thought we got the wrong room and that it was a mistake, so we told the staff who showed us 2 other rooms (to change room) that did not have the lake view from the photos either. We realized the lake view from the photos might not exist (or maybe the staff did not show us the right rooms back then). So we asked to pay the price for a room without a view (because the price difference for a room with lake view and a room without a lake view in this hotel was around 100k to 120k VND per night, so around 350k VND price difference for 3 nights). The staff offered a 10% discount, which does not even represent half of the price difference for not having a lake view... It is not about the money, but the fact that the photos are a complete lie. I told the staff they should update the photos because it does not show the reality, and the girl I talked to recognized it by saying "yes, I know" and looked really embarrassed. Apart from that incident, the bathroom was really not clean, I said it to the staff too (the staff did not answer anything to that, not even an apology). Even after the house keeping, there were still many hairs on the bathroom floor... I really don't understand the good reviews. This hotel does not deserve a 4,3/5, and the room is not worth the price you pay even after the discount on the site Booking. If we were able to cancel our booking without charges, we would not have stayed 3 nights there. After posting my review on the site Booking, the hotel answered and said multiple lies about me in its answer : Saying I was asking a 50% discount : which is not True, I wanted to pay the price for a room without a lake view, because I did not have the lake view I was supposed to have, which represents 25% less than the price I had to pay, and not 50% ; That they offered to cancel my booking without charges and that I decided to stay : they never told me that. They only asked if I wanted to change room or not, that is all. Otherwise, as I said before, I would have left this hotel. That after I said the bathroom was dirty, the housekeeping came immediately : it was not the case. The housekeeping came the day after, and it was still dirty. I wrote a direct message to the hotel on Booking after the dishonest reply they posted on booking to ask why were they lying like that. They never answered that message. So disappointing, I never write negative things like that, but I needed to do it...
Read moreWe spent three days at Hoi An Boutique Hotel, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a quiet area but is still very close to the city center. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the pool was really beautiful. The balcony was spacious, and it even had an ashtray for smokers. I would just recommend closing the balcony in the evening, as geckos might get inside. If you go on the balcony in the evening, you’ll definitely see a few, but don't take it as a downside of the hotel – you’ll find geckos all around Hoi An and the surrounding areas.
The rooms were minimalist but very beautiful, bright, and modern. A great advantage was that there are plenty of restaurants nearby, though we mostly preferred to have lunch at the local market in the center. However, if you're coming to Hoi An primarily for the beach, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, as it’s quite far from the beach. It's possible to take a taxi, but traveling there every day might not be ideal.
As for breakfast, it was fine but a bit different from what we’re used to. Instead of a buffet, you order from a menu, with options like scrambled eggs, an omelette, or pancakes (banana, mango, or pineapple) etc. You can only choose one dish and one drink. Honestly, one pancake for breakfast is a bit small. As a coffee lover, I had my coffee, but then I couldn’t have juice unless I paid extra. The extra charges aren’t high, and I don’t really consider this a downside of the hotel, as I appreciate that the food is fresh and there's no unnecessary waste. However, it would have been nice to have been informed about this beforehand.
Anyway, if you choose this hotel, definitely try the fruit pancakes –...
Read moreMy first experience when entering Legend Oasis Hoi An Boutique Hotel was the very unfriendly attitude of the hotel owner. We brought some prepared food for children, but he questioned me with an attitude that made me very uncomfortable. He insulted us that we didn't have money to travel so we didn't know the hotel's regulations. We tried to stay calm to explain that we had contacted the hotel in advance to ask about the regulations and received consent from his daughter. He did not confirm the information with his daughter and stubbornly kicked us out of the hotel with the excuse that if he did not agree, no one would be allowed to bring food in.|The situation escalated when he deliberately raised his voice at the children and women in my family. He had a cigarette in his hand and kept insulting us with the words: You guys have a little money and are poorly educated and still want to travel?|After his daughter - the person who confirmed that we could bring food into the hotel - came to talk to us and confirmed that she agreed to let us bring food in. After hearing his daughter confirm that, he and his wife denied it and still maintained a bad attitude and dragged us out of the hotel.|We had to move out of the hotel with the children and members who were tired and intimidated by the hotel owner.|Everything has been recorded and I don't want those traveling to have to go through that feeling and have bad experiences about...
