Tan Phat Restaurant holds a special place in our hearts. We first discovered this gem back in 2019 and were so impressed by the experience that we made it a priority to return during our recent trip to Hoi An. We’re thrilled to say that it’s just as amazing as we remembered!

From the moment you step into Tan Phat, you’re greeted with warmth and kindness by the incredible owners. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel like part of the family, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and comforting. The red snapper, in particular, is a standout—it’s perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and a must-try for anyone visiting. Great location just across the street from the Boutique Hoi An Resort. This is a small family run business who are very welcoming. The owner recommended that we try the fried wanton as a starter and we were glad we ordered this, as it was delicious. I would compare it loosely to a poppadom, with spicy chicken and vegetables on the top. The owner did ask us if we would like it a bit spicy, to which we replied we like spicy dishes, and it did not disappoint. I arrived in Hoi An on January 21 and decided to stay for 2 days and found this restaurant on my 2nd day, and let me tell you everything was amazing. I had the grilled pork skewers and the Crispy Red Snapper in garlic sauce and it was absolutely delicious, best meal yet while here in Vietnam!
