Thank you to all the staff in Hoi An Garden Sea Homestay, for making my stay a pleasant one, especially Ms Hue (Sen), the lovely young owner. If I want to describe who she is, I would say she is the most understanding person in the world with the brightest smile on her face, who will light up your day every time you see her.
Our stay was in Summer there, the weather was hot and dry, but fortunately, whenever we returned to the homestay, she would greet us with a smile and cold drinks in her hands. Or when we brought back takeaway food from outside, she would help heating up and serving the food with cutlery. Or when we asked her for guidance about where to eat local food, places to visit, she trie to give the best possible answer, not just on top of her head, etc... All those little things made us felt so welcomed and we totally thought she was like one of our best friends. On that note, we would like to thank her, for being a life saver in our trip.
In addition, the full access to the Tropical Resort's swimming pools and private beach right across the road was awesome, it gave a nice classy feel for us during the trip. Yes, I will definitely come back whenever I visit Hoi An next time and I will put a highly recommended note for everyone in my friends and family circle!
Last but not least, the little souvenirs from the owner when we left gave a nice flashback about the trip. We would like to thank you again for being so thoughtful...
Read moreI'm tired of people giving positive reviews only because the family is nice. If you stay on the ground floor, it feels like there are no windows, because you have to use curtains to have some privacy. The bed is very uncomfortable, it feels like you sleep on the floor. The room didn't look like on the pictures, there was no kettle, no fridge and no sockets near bed to charge phone, very uncomfortable! The breakfast is very simple, many times I found ants inside my bread so I don't know where they keep food. Ants were also all over my things in the bathroom. I stayed there 5 days, and they didn't clean my room even once. Im allergic to dust, and I couldn't stop sneezing in the room. You can see in the pictures that the room needs some deep cleaning also. I arrived at 12.30pm but they told me to wait until 2pm because they are prepering my room (I have no problem with that) but I saw other rooms, same as mine were empty, ready to move in. I don't understand the point of waiting if the room was still dirty (look at the bathroom pictures) Next to the house there are many hens and roosters that you can hear...
Read moreGreat price, great location, great owners (family-owned), and a very nice and convenient restaurant that is right there (which they also own).
The area a 5 min walk to the beach, is much quieter than the old town, and has a nice little garden seating area where you can relax and/or eat at the restaurant. It was a nice break from the crowded touristy center where I stayed during the first couple days I was there.
During my stay I felt very welcomed and at home, which is nice having been traveling solo for a couple months.
Huệ (Sen) is so friendly and always happy... and her English is good. If you need help arranging an excursion or want some recommendations for things to do in the area, she can help you out.
I have no complaints during my stay here and recommend this place above the other 2 places I stayed during my week long visit in Hoi An.
The old town area is nice for a night or possibly two, but you will likely want to get the heck out of there after that... and this homestay would be a good choice for a more...
