“Steakhouse in Thao Dien: An Ordinary Experience That Fails to Meet Expectations”

As a traveler and food enthusiast, I’d like to share my review of a steakhouse located in the peaceful and clean area of Thao Dien in Ho Chi Minh City. The location’s cleanliness and the convenience of ample parking space were indeed positive aspects.

The restaurant’s interior was neatly decorated in a Western style. However, the smoked-style steak I ordered fell short of my expectations. It was disappointingly ordinary, far from the hidden gem I had hoped to discover.

The house wine somewhat salvaged the situation, but the overall quality of the course meals did not meet my personal expectations. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff provided friendly service and communicated effectively in English. However, this was not enough to compensate for the overall dining experience’s shortcomings.

SKIP. The rules change according to their mood. I was told to go for the set lunch (advertised Monday thru Friday) Soup/salad, 4 choices of entree, and dessert. 210k 11 am to ?. I went and was the only customer, yet, they said they weren't offering set menu that day. Instead they pushed me towards 50% off any premium steak 350k and above, a la carte. I was not there for a 800k lunch. I asked again if they could do the set lunch offered on menu. The easier asked the kitchen and received a rather loud response that I could hear in the dining room. The answer was a big NO. I hate traveling to a specific place and finding out that what they advertise is not anything they honor. There are plenty of other good steakhouse in Thao Dien...

Absolutely amazing experience at Đình Phong! 🥩✨ The steaks here are on another level – perfectly cooked, juicy, and so full of flavor. I tried the Wagyu and Black Angus, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The quality of the meat is top-notch and you can really taste the difference.

The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, making it perfect for both a casual dinner or a special night out. 🍷 The staff are super friendly, attentive, and they really know their menu well – they gave us great recommendations.
