Up to this point, we had really only been eating street food or at hyper local spots recommended by tour guides, so it was nice to eat somewhere that had actual chairs as opposed to those tiny little plastic stools ahaha. I do love a meal on a plastic stool don't get me wrong though... We came here for dinner after a long day at the Cu Chi Tunnels and fresh off a 3L tower of beer split between the 2 of us, so we were pretty toasted. We entered through an alley where locals were chillin shirtless on their motorbikes rippin cigs, hung a right and were met with a pretty long line. After 10 minutes we were seated, and handed a menu. I scanned the room and was a little disappointed as it was mostly tourists and only a handful of locals... but I had to catch myself writing that just now because I literally am a tourist. The menu was HUGE, filled with pictures which is always a nice touch especially when data is LIMITED to look online. We opted to get a feast as we were starving. We ended up ordering 7 different items and some beer to keep the train rolling. When we finished ordering, I could feel this german couple laughing at us for the sheer amount of food we got. After about 5 minutes the guy leaned over and said "So you got all 7?" in a hella snarky tone. Like bro mind ya business, stop pocket watching. Worry about yourself and... nvm I'm not gonna be mean on here. The food, while 3-4x (~$8USD per entree) the price of some of the more local spots, was on par with anything we had on our trip, and likely 1.5x the portion. BIG DAWG PORTION SIZES! Our favorites were the Banh Xe, the Bo Lui, Com Tam Suon, and that fried rice in a coconut. The Bo Lui was definitely leading the charge though, those beef skewers with the rice vermicelli had been blessed by the gods. Service wasn't the best, as I had to ask for a napkin 2 different times before I just got up and grabbed some from an adjacent table, but idk I'm not gonna be a Karen and knock a star off for that lol they were busy af in here. Bep Me In is a delightful culinary haven nestled in the heart of Saigon District 1. This charming restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic Vietnamese dining experience. Upon entering, you're greeted by a cozy, rustic decor that exudes a homely feel. The menu features a wide array of traditional Vietnamese dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The highlights include the grilled chicken, bursting with rich flavors, and the crispy banh xeo, a savory delight that never disappoints. The staff at Bep Me In are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The service is prompt, and the hospitality is top-notch, making you feel right at home. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Bep Me In is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to savor the best of Vietnamese cuisine in Saigon. Its hidden gem status, coupled with the excellent food and service, makes it a true treasure in the bustling city.

Disappointing. Service was a mess. Ordered a soft drink and a beer. The soft drink was not available, so I asked the server if he could change it to a small bottle of water instead. He did not understand. When my small bottle of water arrived, the person sitting next to me ordered the soft drink I had initially ordered. And, he received it. Apparently, the soft drink was available again - less than 2 min after I was told it was not available. I asked for a regular beer and received a special beer. I was asked if I wanted a glass and I said “yes, please” but the glass never arrived. I asked another server if it was possible to receive a glass with ice and, again, it never arrived. Ordered the (1) Banh Xeo w/ Seafood (2) Fried Pork served in Bamboo (3) Morning Glory (4) Fried Rice served in Coconut. All the dishes arrived at a different time. The fried rice arrived first and the morning glory arrived last. We had to ask for the morning glory twice. And, by the time it arrived, we did not have any fried rice left to eat it with. The fried pork was fine. My friend enjoyed it. The banh xeo was not tasty at all. It was incredibly oily. And, the filling was mostly onion, spring onion and bean sprouts. It only had 4 small prawns and 2-3 tiny pieces of fish. It had an excessive amount of onion though. Did not enjoy the food. Would not recommend visiting. I later saw they were recommended in the Michelin Guide. Still do not understand how or why.

Went there with very high expectations but the service standard was sub par compared to even the street food stalls. Firstly, table was not setup properly though reservation was made. Had to retrieve our own cutlery and asked for serving bowls. The first 2 dishes arrived quite promptly but the wait for the last 2 dishes was at least 20 minutes. Wet wipes were not provided for, though most customers would be using the hands to eat Banh Xeo or the grilled meat skewers with lettuce. The stir fried morning glory is quite normal especially for Asians who are used to having stir fried veggies. Banh Xeo is nice, not not exceptional. Special mention to the fried pork in bamboo and the fried rice in coconut. These are really tasty, and the fried rice oozed out the aromatic fragrance of coconut, yet not overpowering the rest of the ingredients like shrimps. Would recommend to try once if this is your first time to Ho Chi Minh. Lastly, the staff shortchanged 1000 dong, when she passed me the change, which I decided not to ask for it.

I never thought I could have bad food in Vietnam, but this restaurant proved me wrong. I came in and ordered Bún Thịt Nướng (literally noodles with grilled pork) and a iced jasmine tea. I waited 30 minutes for a simple bowl of Bun Thit Nuong, and my iced tea never came within that 30 minutes. Anyways when the bun thit nuong came it was literally just scraps of cheap pork, I have never seen anything this sad before. It seems as if the meat was stir fried, not even grilled, as there were no char marks or smoky aroma on the meat. I asked the staff and they said "the chef cut the meat up" but that makes no sense to me. Why do you need to cut the meat up until small scraps? It was so horrible that I didn't even want to waste my calories to eat this and just paid and left to find something else. The restaurant looks cute and nice - but that's about it. Very disappointing that they charge 129,000VND for a few scraps of meat and an egg roll with noodles. You can find better and cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Really disappointed. I saw this restaurant on Google maps and I thought it could be a good place to have dinner. I arrived there, it was kind of a chaotic moment and many people.. i thought it must be good. As I was alone, they took me to a second restaurant and they told me to sit in the bar (not table, because I was 1 person). I ordered, i received my dish quickly and it looked great, but it was really salted and fatty (the porc). I couldn't finish it. I had also ordered a "fresh juice" which i think was not fresh. It tasted just like juice powder. I payed and I asked to go to the toilet, it was next to the kitchen of the real restaurant. Not really clean and at that moment, when I had already payed, i realized that i had received a different menu. And that everybody was eating something different than what I had in my menu, they were eating what i had seen on the photos that i wanted to eat. It was really disappointing and expensive (according to my point of view)
