Located within Nguyễn Huệ walking street, a very popular spot for large demographic of tourists, celebrities, gen z and more. You can’t beat the price for lobster buffet here, you pay only 729000 VND and you can have unlimited seafood including lobsters, mud crabs, blue crabs, prawns, shrimps, oysters, mussels, scallops and many more. You could even get hot pot, desserts, and a tons of other items you can try. All of their seafood are fresh, I don’t think they were frozen, because I didn’t taste anything funky. I like the concept here, first you placed your order, then they will prepare, cook them on the spot, and bring everything out for you, which is why the food came out hot and fresh. Quality over quantity if you run a seafood buffet, you shouldn’t leave your food on the heat lamp all day, the place has mastered their techniques and methods, they did the best thing possible for the customers. The customer service was amazing, it was my first time here, I didn’t book a table in advance, and I came by my self, which I am supposed to come in with another person to be able to get the buffet option, but they made an exception for me as a first timer in this country all by myself. Plus they have a bar and a menu for a la carte, I do wish they open all day, but they do close on Tuesday, I also wish they add more fishes on their buffet menu, of course you could always order that separately. Overall this place by far beat all other seafood buffets I had been around Saigon, from some high end hotels to some mid level restaurants, they got the space, the freshness and the uniqueness. Everyone who has been at Nguyễn Huệ walking street should give it a try. I totally recommend it. PS: they accept all major credit cards except...
Read moreThe quality of the sushi at Chai Village is very good. Located on the 3rd floor of the building, they have a buffet, bento (lunch only) and a la carte eating options.
My family and I came for the buffet. The way to order is via a ticket system, so the customer orders by writing what they want on paper and the server types it in their electronic ordering system. Then the order comes out of the kitchen to your table.
We ordered all of the Nigiri menu items. My favorites were the Sake, Aburi Sake, Queen Sauce Maguro and Queen Sauce Salmon. The nigiri was excellent from the slices of fish to the delicious texture of the Japanese rice.
For me, the rice is critical in a quality piece of sushi. The rice vinegar, temperature and type of rice are all factors in good quality sushi. Also, the chef's knowledge in slicing the fish makes for a delicious piece of nigiri. Chai Village has it all.
The food and service are top notch, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable Japanese...
