Read moreWe purchased tickets online for $10.65 for the combo ticket. We had a great time and at only $10.65, certainly worth the money. We arrived at 5:15 PM and there was a sign that the Heineken experience was sold out, but since we had purchased on line we got to go in. We went up to the 49th floor where the observation deck is and looked around for a while. The view is great and gives you a real feel for the layout of the city as well as letting you see things you may not otherwise see. We really enjoyed it. Our tickets for the Heineken experience were not until 6:20 PM so we had to wait around a bit longer. Since it is a nice place with an awesome view it was no problem at all. We were escorted to the 60th floor for the Heineken Experience which started off with them taking our names for the free personally labeled bottle they give you at the end of the tour. We sat around until 6:30 when the tour started. We were led in where we were given a brief overview of the history of Heineken in Vietnam. Then escorted into a 3D Ride to do a virtual tour of the process for making beer the Heineken way which was quite fun. After that we were escorted to an area where you learn to pour out a glass of beer. Then on to an area for some photo ops and play in an area with a disco table, a foosball table, a little pretend soccer area, and some race car video games. All quite cute. After spending a bit of time there they escorted us to an area where there was a bar and bunches of tables with a great view of the city. You were allotted 2 beers (or one special bottle of beer in an aluminum can), one water and a bowl of chips. You can then take your time enjoying the beers and chips. My wife does not drink beer so I used her 2 beer coupons to get one of the cans so I could taste the difference. It was interesting and tasted fine, but rather have the 2 glasses of beer. We stood around drinking and enjoying the view for about an hour. They do not rush you out, you are allowed to hang out as long as you like. After that when we arrived at the ground level they gave us our personally labeled bottles of beer. When you think about it, basically you get a great view of the city, 4 beers, and some chips for $10.65 and a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The staff were all quite friendly and the place was well organized and clean. I would highly...
Read more. I gave three stars because my experience is satisfied but not mesmerized. I will be critical in this review in order for the management to have a basis for further improvement since it is one of the famous tourist attraction in Ho Chi Minh City. The view is very nice during day time because you can see the different parts of the city like the residential area, the saigon river, the business area, and the tourist area clearly unlike in night time, the lights inside the viewing deck reflects on the glass that blocked the view to be seen clearly even using the binoculars. The viewing deck has a small exhibit of Vietnam's traditional dress and a little room that has a screen that projects different kinds of the dress. The wall that surrounds the deck contains trivias and facts about the history of the tower and even facts about 20 famous buildings around the world. They have a cyclo where you can take a picture. They have free wifi and a souvenir shop. There's not much to do in the viewing deck. They have screens at the different parts of the deck which you can see a brief information about the landmarks but it is not updated. I suggest that they should update the application with the current landscape of the city for the tourists and locals to see the landmark easily because there are a lot of structures that has been added around the deck. I also suggests the management for them to add a new activity or attraction so the tourist can spend more time in the deck. The normal time you can spend in the deck is about 10 to 20 minutes and for the cost of 200,000 vnd, the management should be able to add more interactive activities in the deck so the tourists and locals can find value to their money. The management can add more sculptures like the cyclo or other Vietnam's trademark for the visitors to take picture of. The deck has a lot of potential to be improved to make the visitors' experience more delicate and memorable. Overall, the staffs are very accommodating and very...
