Boat House Bistro — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Heard good review about the restaurant and booked this for our dinner, but the service was so disappointing. We ordered quite a lot of food for 15 pax; but some food came out and some food didn’t even come out even after us asking the staffs for MULTIPLE times. All they said was “preparing” and even told us “because it’s Saturday so it’s busier”. We saw that every other table has been served except us, and after 1.5 hours we couldn’t take it and asked the last time, they told us the food we ordered was out of stock????? Could’ve told us from the start and not waste our time. Honestly such disappointing especially when we were quite excited for this. They said they will compensate us and give us discount, and even this discount process took us 20 mins or more, seriously we were super hungry and unhappy at this point already. Would not recommend here to our friends or people visiting Ho Chi Minh. Though, got to say the environment is quite chill and nice.

Im a Malaysian foreigner who came for the first stop on this restaurant today. We have 15 pax of friends and ordered atleast 5 set of package. We waited for 30mins and remind the staffs why the foods take so long time to come. The lady staff with short hair did not even communicate with kitchen staffs and asking us to wait while they already cooking. We wait another 40mins total around 1 hour 20mins the staffs only came to said the order did not received from kitchen and said all package already out of stock! Are you kidding with customers. Super bad service from staffs does not know communicate with their team. Wont come back or intro any of my friends go here again. Wasting time. Atlast boss gave 20% discount but you guys are wasting our foreigner time because suppose we can go for second destination. Asking for discount also need 20mins time LOL...
