Bud's Cafe — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

This is an ok stop for a family with a wide range of tastes, as the two (2!) enormous menus offer a very wide selection, including western, Asian, and Vietnamese cuisines, including extensive wine and ice cream options. Unfortunately the wide range means not a lot of attention gets paid to each dish and mediocrity rules the day. I wasn’t terribly impressed by either of the dishes I tried: the calamari plate had a ton of rogue breading chips on it an an overpowering amount of raw rosemary while not providing enough dipping sauce, and the lemongrass fried rice had very few mushroom pieces while simultaneously being so full of chili and lemongrass that I’m sure I’ll be breathing it for the rest of the day. The coffee was ok. Service was great. This place also has the unique distinction of being the single noisiest room I’ve entered in over 7 years living in Vietnam, which is honestly saying a lot. I ate here today (Sunday) around 1PM. I was expecting it to be busy but there were several available tables inside and out.

I didn't do any research ahead of time, so I didn't know what to expect. The food menu was surprisingly large with tons of items from appetizers to meats, pizza, and salads. I wanted to try something new so I chose the pictured Pork Chop Dish. I had no idea it came with all that stuff (minus the coffee).

It was way more than filling and I found it to be excellent. Food came out within 10 minutes. Atmosphere was and calm. New local spot to stop for a bite and coffee.

Có 1 điều hơi khó xử ở đây là trước cửa quán có 1 xe bánh mì Là saigon của 1 ng khác và phản cảm và kém nhân văn ở đây là có 1 sticker dán trên tủ bánh mì là quán Bud’s không cho mang bánh mì này vào quán.Đây là hành động xem thường khách hàng của quán vì những ng vào quán ai cũng hiểu kg được mang đồ ăn thức uống bên ngoài vào rồi ah(no food no drink dán đầy nhà).Chủ quán quá xem thường ng saigon rồi. Cafe uống khá ngon nhưng dĩa cơm tấm sườn bì chả thất bại vụ cái trứng ốp la chiên hơi chín quá dù mình đã dặn rất nhiều lần là làm sống,Hơi thấy vọng! 8:00 23/07/20 mình gọi 1 bánh mì ốp la 55k trứng làm sống thiệt là sống nhưng vẫn làm chín quá,kg chấm bánh mì được,1 cappuccino 65k,1 nước ép dưa hấu 75k,1 bình trà saffron hoa cúc 120k,khăn 3k. 7:30 28/07/20 vòng gởi xe đáng buồn,ng giữ xe đưa mình 1 thê gởi xe và nhanh chóng ghi số lên mặt nước sơn của đuôi xe,cản kg kịp,họ lấy thẻ xe cào chữ phấn đã ghi!?Mình bị đứng hình và cạn lời.Tuy nhiên vẫn vào quán kêu 1 ly detox tropical 69k,kg dám gọi trứng ốp la nữa vì quán đã làm sai 2 lần.
