So, when I learned about CÀ PHÊ X's small-batch roasting technique and their unique take on egg coffee, I was immediately intrigued.

The café is located on the second floor of a block of flats in a bustling residential neighborhood. Stepping inside, you leave behind the chaos of Saigon. The atmosphere is quiet, small, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff are not your typical Starbucks baristas; they possess a wealth of knowledge about coffee and are proud to share it. It reminded me of a wine tasting experience in a small Sonoma cellar.

Cà phê X was a fantastic coffee experience on a Sunday morning. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. As we walked in, our barista inquired about our personal tastes with regard to coffee and ensured that we had eaten breakfast beforehand due to the caffeine content in Vietnamese coffee drinks. Super thoughtful touch!

I got the egg coffee, and of course it was personalized to my preferences. It was absolutely divine and came with a second round Americano as well to balance out the flavors. Our barista Ken (apologies if I simplified the spelling!) was so knowledgeable and vulnerable as he shared his story and experiences on how he got to Ca Phê X. Our conversation was truly inspiring and I left feeling excited to take on the rest of my day. The baristas greeted us with warmth and friendliness, and the coffee surpassed all expectations! We were so impressed that we purchased five bags of their expertly grounded and roasted coffee to share with friends back home.
