Pho Anh — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

During my 8 weeks stay in Vietnam I've eaten pho at maybe 40 restaurants. Some have been okay others good (it's very difficult to find bad pho in Vietnam). This restaurant, which I just came across pretty randomly, served me the pho by which I will now judge all others. It was simply perfection. The beef was melt in the mouth, the pho broth was meaty and fatty and bursting with flavour. I came back again to try the chicken pho which, to my amazement, surpassed the beef I had during my first visit. It was a sublime experience, this is a restaurant and a pho they will stay long...

I am visiting hcmc for 3 weeks and walked a while to find some food besides the dishes in the Tourist area. The soup at pho anh was a decent tasting broth, but the staff made the experience terrible. I get that not everyone is pleased by tourists in the own city, but we were surrounded by such a bad mood and disgusted glares that the Situation really wasnt pleasant. When asked for the check a guy came out and wanted the saigon well known exaggerated...

Delicious Pho. I had the beef Pho and I really enjoyed it, meat was good and broth was flavorful. Restaurant war spotless clean. Service was pretty good and friendly. Price is also pretty competitive, it is posted on the walls so no worries of getting overcharged.
