Cố Thời Coffee — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I went a few times to this coffee bar, it's a comfortable place and the drinks are delicious.

However, I GOT RIPPED OFF for 100K VND by a changing trick.

I had to pay 65K for an egg coffee and gave a 200K bill. I did not look at the change money and after a minute I realized thatvI just got 35K back and asked the employee.

So, instead of returning the 100K bill, the employee handed me the 200K bill back.

So, I said, no you make a mistake and gave that bill back.

Asking for only 100K.

So, he goes to the owner (there is a vintage camerashop in the back of the coffeeshop).

Owner looks in the cash register and was looking for a 200K note... which was already in the pocket of his employee.

At the moment, I thought forget about it, it's just $4, but this is a message for the ownernif the shop (that I believe just tried to solve the case).

Message:

The person you hired stealed from me... and will steal from you too.

You have a nice place, but someone with long fingers is destroying it.

I have discovered Cố Thời Coffee during my visit in Sai Gon and I feel a need to recomend it for all traveling and local Coffee lovers out there. The Cafe is located in a quet street away from noise and buisy crowds, perfect for quiet morning time with a cup of good Coffee. I had a chance to meet and be served by the owner and I found her very professional and knowledgeable about Coffee.
