I randomly found this on Maps and tried it out.
The owner/cook is Vietnamese-American, so he speaks English. He does ask you to take off your shoes if you step on to the dining platform.
The guy goes by Cao Boi ("cowboy"), and I will say he might be the most interesting guy in Vietnam. He's very nice and social, so he will tell you quite a bit about his diverse life... that includes being on Survivor (I had to look it up after he mentioned it).
He's learned to cook from his various travels, and his style is unlike anything I've had (especially in Vietnam). He thinks of himself as a redneck - and I'd agree.
The prices are on the higher end, but his top burgers are the highest prices I've seen for burgers in Vietnam. In general, 300-400K/$11.75-$15.65 is about as high as you'll see. His highest burgers are 400K plus (490K/$19.20 for his highest priced one). I did not want to pay that much, so I tried his basic double patty for 190K/$7.45. He talked me into adding an egg and avocado (20K/$0.80 for each topping).
It doesn't appear to be a fancy burger at a nice restaurant (in the US), but it did/does look like a nice-looking, smashed-patty diner-style burger. He added some caramelized onions and offered his homemade tabasco sauce. The biggest complaint I have about burgers in general is the dryness/juiciness. These patties were juicy and flavorful.
It is one of the better burgers I've had in Vietnam (1.5 years). It was good enough that while I was eating it, I ordered another to take home. Initially, I thought the meat tasted like a mixed meat (pork & beef) patty, but he said his burgers are 100% grass-fed Vietnamese beef.
He has other food prepared (slow-cooked chicken, etc.), and I saw his spaghetti sauce. It was unlike any I had ever seen. After trying the burger, I decided to try that as well.
I will say... it doesn't taste like spaghetti at all. It's the chunks of pulled meat (pork?) instead of all ground beef that makes it not taste like spaghetti. However, it still tasted good. For 250K/$9.80, I might have just preferred getting one triple patty burger for 290K/$11.35, though.
His eclectic menu is impressive. He highly recommends his phở, and he only makes a limited amount each time. He says it sells out every time.
A can of sparkling water was 30K/$1.15 (on the higher end, but not an uncommon price for restaurants, which may be 40-60K for the same).
My bill was 740K/$28.95, which may be the single highest amount I've paid for food in Vietnam and intended to eat entirely by myself.
Especially without a job, I won't be able to eat here a lot, but it's definitely unique, and I...

Read moreIm seriously soo disappointed! Was craving a good burger, followed the good reviews here. But i really dont have an explanation why they are that good other than that they are fake. The owner is a really nice and friendly guy, recommended Burgers for 400k and 500k Dong. 500k for a Burger in Vietnam, like wtf??? Just a Burger, no side dish, nothing. Actually no side dishes available at all!!! For 500k you get a premium meal in a 5 star restaurant in Vietnam. Anyways, i was already there so i ordered a mid priced 2x Vip Burger for 190k. The small Burger looked so sad on the empty plate. The Burger itself wasnt bad, but nothing special, 5/10. Finished it in 2 minutes and left the shop as hungry as i entered it. The owner was just laughing when i told him that his prices are ridiculous.
Around the corner i filled my belly with a super good Bun Ca for...
