The HUNGRY BUNNY - American Bistro — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I'm a bit picky when it comes to American foods in Vietnam. Mostly because I know I can probably make it better. I guess the same can be said with just about any type of foods. So when I saw photos of the amazing burgers served here, I was curious if the taste matched how it looks. I ordered not once but twice here through the Grab food delivery app and both times, the food came fast, hot and delicious. The first order were the burger and fries. The burger was really well done with quality meat and buns. The fries are fresh cut and thick like you would expect from an artisan burger place.

The second order, I tried the meatball spaghetti just for the heck of it. Why would you go to a burger place and order spaghetti? Because if they botch something that simple to make, chances are other things won't be as good either. But surprisingly, it was also really good. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce had that right mix of tart and salty. The meatballs were also surprisingly good and it had stuffed mozzarella inside.

The Hungry Bunny serves up some mean burgers and the great reviews are deservingly so. Next time, I will definitely visit in person. If the food is that good served 20 minutes delivered, how good would it be at the restaurant? Great quality food with fair prices for Ho...

I got evening delivery and it was both good and bad. The mushroom, onion, and Swiss burger was fantastic - the meat patty was excellent, the buns were great, and the toppings were perfect. The side salad was also good, with tasty dressing. However, the onion rings were just terrible - easily the worst I’ve ever had. They were old, cold, and brittle. Fried to within an inch of their lives, and the onions inside were desiccated. It was like someone made onion rings yesterday, over-fried them, put them in a fridge for 24 hours, then pulled them out and delivered them. Just awful - they had no redeeming qualities at all. Delivery, and first time trying this place. I got the double dog which came with thick-cut fries, and my son had the chicken breast fettucine. Just the Western comfort food we were looking for after a week of COVID. Really solid hot-dog, probably the best in town, though honestly there aren't many places serving them. Fettucine had generous chicken portion and my kid inhaled it. Nice cold A&W root beer to wash it down. They have a fairly extensive delivery wine list, too, so got a bottle of red for less than 600k that is pretty well reviewed online. It arrived chilled just the amount I prefer for reds.
